New Balance 993 Lace-Up Running Shoe (Little Kid/Big Kid)

I searched in every store in my area for a pair of tennis shoes for kids and couldn't find anything I liked. Sketchers just seems to have too much rubber around the edges that trip up my clumsy son. I just wanted a plain pair of sneakers! Finally I found these online and I LOVE them. They are so comfy, my son loves them too. Easy to put on, stay on like they should, and fit like they should. I get compliments on them all the time, they are so adorable! It was a little more than what I wanted to pay for a 3 yr old's shoes but I like them a lot and he wears them everyday so we are getting our money's worth! Oh and they still look brand new, no scuffs or anything. That's another thing I didn't like about the sketchers, they would scuff and wear out really easily. I got the pair with velcro instead of laces for his younger brother and I love them too.

I love the 993's in it's basic grey color. They match everything and if they are fresh and clean it can really pull an outfit together. The only problem I have it's with Amazon or any of it's affiliates but with New Balance. I like to have my kids look good but I'm not rich so buying new shoes every week isn't something I want or can afford to do all the time. I like buying the leather 993 as suppose to the suede ones. Yes I do see the apeal of the suede ones but the leather ones last so much longer espcially if u have two toddlers like I do. New Balance needs to keep the leather revsions available.

I bought this shoe for my son who wears a small, in-shoe brace. The shoe is well made, very roomy (wide-width) and looks nice for school. He finds his new shoes comfortable. New Balance makes excellent shoes for children; very comfortable and stylish.Please note, I did originally buy his true shoe size, however found after we received them, he needed a half size larger. We exchanged them for a proper size. This material (Black-AB) does not stretch, and did not accommodate the small brace. If your child wears a brace, you may need to go up half a size.He has an older pair (Navy-NV) in his true size, same style (993) but stretchable material which does accommodate the brace.

So far so good. This is the second pair of NB for our son and if the first pair are any indication, these should hold up great. This is a solid and durable pair of shoes for young boys.The only reason I did not give them 5 Stars is because they are not Made in USA like other NB. However, I will continue to support them for their efforts.

I bought these for my son as replacements to the ones we received with his AFOs (NB 696). These have more solid construction, are deeper, and don't have mesh, which for us, is terrible. The edges of his AFOs tend to push through mesh and rip it. The suede and more solid fabric on these prevent that for much longer. We will request these for both of my kids with their braces from now on.

My 2 year old son has a wide foot which makes it hard to find shoes. After discovering New Balance toddler sneakers, he is now on his 4th pair. Being able to order wide sizes on line instead of going from store to store makes shopping so much easier. The only negative about these shoes is that the color is more of an army green than brown. Overall great! Wish he didn't grow out of them so fast!

Very short break-in time and excellent over-all support for little feet. My daughter absolutely loves putting them on her feet because they are so comfortable. The stitching is really good, too, so I know that they will hold up until she grows out of them. I think I'll be buying another pair when she does...

I bought these for my son who is almost 6, and they get a lot of wear and tear. They are very comfortable and he likes wearing them. I do need to buy new laces because they wore out, really quickly, from pulling them when tying them for him.
