If it looks like rain, you'll be glad to have the lightweight and packable Showers Pass Women's Double Century EX Jacket stashed in a jersey pocket. Made from Cocona Xcelerator fabric, a new waterproof and highly-breathable fabric, this shell will keep you protected from the elements. Patented Cocona technology incorporates natural active particles that have microporous structures. These active particles have been tested by industry standards and have been found to enhance the breathability, dry-times, UV protection, and odor management of performance fabrics. This means your core stays dry even if you're working up a sweat in the rain. Adding to the Double Century's ability to fend off wet weather are fully taped seams, compatibility with Shower Pass' Rain Hood (available separately), and a drop tail hem with cinch cord. While the Cocona Xcelerator fabric is highly breathable, Showers Pass still adds a back vent that allows through-venting if you've opened the front zipper. The Showers Pass Women's Double Century has one zippered arm pocket, and plenty of reflective elements for low-light safety. It comes in sizes X-Small through X-Large and one color, Orange.Product FeaturesMaterial: Artex (3-layer)Fabric Waterproof Rating: Fabric Breathability Rating: Windproof Rating: Hood: no, compatible with the Rain HoodFit: formCenter Back Length: Venting: Pockets: 1 armSeams: fully tapedSPF Rating: UPF Rating: Weight: Recommended Use: cyclingManufacturer Warranty:

The only rain jacket you'll ever need for bike commuting
I ride my bike rain or shine 27 miles round-trip to work in Seattle several times a week. My regular rain jacket would soak through by the time I arrived on the days I was getting really pummeled by our famous weather, so I picked up this Showers Pass Century EX. I believe it's considered an entry-level rain jacket for this brand, and there are some more expensive fancy ones, but I find that this one is plenty for my purposes. Nice long sleeves and long tail keep you covered, and back flap and underarm zips allow air circulation to keep you from getting too sweaty. Stylish safety orange color and reflective bands help with visibility (though I feel there could be more reflective elements). It's got a single high-mounted pocket ideal for phone or iPod. I feel it could use a couple more pockets, but you know how it goes: the more zippers you have, the more opportunity for water to get in. This jacket is 100% waterproof, even in exceedingly heavy downpours. Note that it's also super well-constructed: I've worn it regularly for 6 months, and it shows very little wear and tear. I'd recommend this item with 100% confidence.
