great tool
I like the heft of this tool. It is rugged and quality. It makes priming cases easy except it takes a good bit of hand strength. You don't have the leverage you do with a bench press. It was essy to change from small to large primer seater and to adjust the depth of seating. The storage case is perfect and has most of the shell holders you could ever want. Changing them is a snap. My only complaint is a small one. They only included one spring for the plunger. It would have been nice to have two just in case you lose one.

THE hand priming tool to own and use!
Hands down THE best hand priming tool on the market! I have owned 3 other kinds. They all had their failures and headaches. THIS Frankford Arsenal Platinum hand seating tool is slick, amazing, and just plain butter to use! Right out of the box I found the correct shell holder for my cases (superb they include all of those shell holders). Then I proceeded to prime 250 cases without a single glitch or problem. One former hand primer would push the top off the primer tray as I pulled the hand lever. Sometimes the primer didn’t align with the primer pocket and it would become a two-handed “Captains of Crush” grip strength exercise to finish seating the primer. Another former junk primer “tool” would occasionally fling primers across the room. None of those nightmares with this Frankford Arsenal tool! It works like a dream. I would have paid 2x the price for this kit. Everything in it works and is built solid. The dial and ability to adjust the primer seating depth is also amazing. Such ease and precision with this hand primer. This is the one to get! Throw any others you own in the garbage or give them to your worst enemy, LOL.

This is a revised review, this tool is amazing!
Apparently there was a problem with the first one of these tools that I received, and that I based my original review upon. I returned it, and am now using the second tool and it is a fantastic device! I have probably loaded well over a thousand primers with it and have had a failure rate of perhaps 3 overall. It is consistent, and enables me to seat to the exact depth I choose. It has shell holders for all calibers included. I highly recommend this tool! As long as they don’t send you the one I got originally! For what I paid for this primer tool, I expected it to work perfectly. What a letdown. From the very first primer I’ve had to fiddle with it to get it to work. The primer tray doesn’t work very well to orient the primers properly. The primers don’t feed into the tool properly. The primers don’t align in the tool properly. Once you overcome all that, the tool works well and seats the primers in the brass nicely. The “but” here is, is it worth what I paid to replace my old RCBS primer tool? So far the answer is a firm no. I’ll give it a couple more tries before I decide, but today I’m of a mind to return it.

Great Customer Service
I bought this item about 4 years ago. I worked fairly well, but seating small pistol primers at the correct depth was difficult. The tool settings just didn’t insert the primers past flush. I contacted Frankfort Arsenal customer service and explained the problem and they sent me a new set of priming pins and sleeves. It helped a bit, but the primers were still only flush or just below flush. Ideal depth is 0.003 to 0.005 inches. I recently contacted them again. The customer service agent said they were sending a package, but didn’t explain what it contained. My communications were all online through their website. My package arrived in about 4 days. It contained an entire new priming kit. It is an improved version over what I bought 4 years ago. The tool looks identical. The old version had a “mushy” feel. The new tool has a firm, definite stop point. So far it is working fine. I’ve set some 9mm and 45 auto primers to correct depths. The new case is a bit smaller and is better constructed. It has real hinges rather than just a folded plastic hinge. It takes up a bit less space on my loading bench, which is good. I’m impressed with FA’s customer service. They have always replied to my requests for service within a couple days. The fact that they replaced a defective tool after 4 years is impressive. They stand by their products. New tool is on the right in each photo.

Best hand priming tool on the market
Short version- BUY THIS ONE! I’ve owned about every hand priming tool on the market. The fact is they have better seating control. This Franklin Armory hand priming tool gives you perfect depth precision that is adjustable. I pulled it out of the box and primed 500 rifle brass in about 45mins. For non magnum rounds I prefer CCI and Federal primers depending on round. They tend to be softer primers that can be easily deformed even with hand primers.. but this one the tolerances are so tight.. even when the pocket is a bit small. It can still perfectly seat the primer simply by spinning the case 180 degrees if it’s pressing hard and still perfectly presses without deformation. I love this damn thing! 500 soft primers had around 30 tight case pockets.. 0 crushed or wasted primers all to perfect depth. I’m totally sold, if all of Franklin Armory’s tools are this high of quality at such a low price..I’ll start replacing all my worn equipment with their stuff.

Very nice hand primer.
This is the best hand priming tool I have found. It's easy to set up and use. I have primed a few thousand cases with it without issue. The Shell holders that came with the kit work with most of not all common calibers as well as a few not so common.

Consistent Primer Seating
Works like I ecpected it too. I have the seating depth set up to where it leaves a very slight indention from the seating ram, makes it easy to verify the seating depth is the same round to round. The linear primer on my Lyman Victory Press is fine if PRS isn't a concern, but the seating depth was too inconsistent for my purposes. The press itself is solid though. It is a little pricey for a hand primer, but it's built like a brick outhouse, buy one cry once. I don't think I have to worry about it breaking. I don't really plan on using any of the other shell holders other than the one cartridge I load for, but I might try some brass with small rifle primer pockets, now that I have a priming tool that can do both.

This is by far the best hand Priming Tool
I have the original Lee Priming tool which is 40 years old and the RCBS Priming tool purchased two years ago. This Frankford Arsenal tool is far and away the best priming tool I've ever used. It is more Robust and solid in construction. It comes with most needed case holders. It is extremely easy to change calibers and change over from small primers to large primers. It is very easy to load primers onto the tray which is definitely not the case with the other tools. The original Lee primer worked good but Lee advises against using Federal Primers stating they are dangerous. Federal primers are my favorites so that is another draw back. For the money, this is far and away the best priming tool and the price makes it an even better option.
