The best mini-computer for the next 3-5 years!!
I have been working with computers since 1975 my first one was at my high school “Digital Equipment Company PDP-10E” so for 50 years now I have watched the computers evolve and get smaller and more efficient but I had to write a review on this one because it transcends our time and opens the door to the following future and you are already in it. “neuromorphic computing is expected to play a significant role in the future of research by integrating GPU, CPU, and neural network processing into hybrid, heterogeneous systems” Yes mimicking how the human brain actually works. I’m not joking this is where we are with technology. This is the technology where GPU NPU and CPU come together and is a technology multiplier. We are at the corner stone of combing each processor working together with minimal energy. This computer has all three…,amazing!!! Beelink SER9 Pro AI Mini PC, AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370(80TOPS,12C/24T,5.1GHz), 64G LPDDR5X 8000MHz 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 SSD, AI PC AMD Radeon 890M NPU 50 AI Tops, Built-in MIC/Speakers/USB4/WiFi6/BT5.2/2.5G I bought this computer last June 2025 I am retired but wanted to wait to do a review there is a lot to go over but I wanted to condense my review for you so it would help your learning curve with this computer. The computer is built for AI, Gaming and a work horse while being quiet and with minimal power consumption. I’m running/testing an AI version OLLama gpt-oss: the 20B and the 70B versions, the 20B runs great. The 70B gives better answers but takes considerably longer. (Seconds vs minutes) for an answer they also have a 120B version which I have not tried but is too big anyway. The Ollma gpt-oss.:20b is the best choice for simple installation and a free program to start your journey into AI. Other programs I’m running on the AI 9 370HX: Fortect - Performance/security/Privacy/Driver updates and virus monitoring AMD Adrenaline 25.11.1 updates computer AMD Chipset Drivers version 7.06.02.123 Microsoft PC Manager Windows 11 Pro 64bit Steam call of Duty Warzone/ Plunder for Gaming run 60-130FPS on Warzone depending on the connection. My computer was a semi-early version and there was a lot of issues with the security TPM 2.0 protocols and chipsets but those issues are behind’s us now with the new chipsets are highly secure. The computer is a brute and with the 64GB RAM which is available for AI and the microprocessor it Kicks “Things” into high gear very quickly while only using 35-50 watts power (imagine a 35 watt light bulb) the power supply is a 200 Watt power supply but you will never use that much power even with a monitor also it has the 890 NPU and shares Graphics card on the motherboard which also shares operations with the processor. The computer is amazing quite even when playing all out. The fans are barely noticeable. This is the next generation of computers here today and is worth ever penny. I’m rating this five stars because it also starts-up in less than a second!! So if you want the best mini-computer for the next 3-5 years this is the best one on the market. Great value solid workmanship and great design you owe to yourself to buy the best do it for you. If you do buy one set sometime aside or a vacation because you will dive into this headfirst. Hoped you liked my review and “Happy Computing.” AI too you too!!!!

Updated. It's brilliant! If they had more I'd get another one. (GTR7 Pro)
UPDATED: I was wrong. when I said "It's a great hobbyists machine, but I think it's some distance from being a work workstation yet". It's a great workstation, after the BIOS update provided by the Beelink support guys (mentioned in the old review) it's been absolutely rock solid. It does anything I throw at it. I'm sure there are games that it can't run and I don't do video editing, but it runs multiple VM's at once (A few on Virtual Box and afew on VMWare Workstation, all at once), it runs GNS3 and multiple notes at once it's not had so much as a slight stutter for anything I've made it do. Once I had the BIOS update it was brilliant! It's brilliant. If there were more I'd buy another one. OLD Review: So far the machine has been very reliable and can run most games that I have without a hitch. That said I don't play a lot of games. I have had the machine switch off once and the support team are helping me through that (We're trying to figure out exactly what happend) and I've been asked to clear the CMOS using a somewhat unusual three step process and then reinstall windows with the CMOS cleared. I have also found that the machine won't boot a virtual machine. It just won't boot the installation media, the VM reaches a certain point and then just stops. The same VM (Oracle VirtualBox) works just fine on other hardware, the same "installation media" (.iso file) works fine on other hardware, just on this little guy VM's seem to be an issue (Which I'm sure I'll work with the support team to get working). So, so far it hasn't been an unbox and use experience, it reminds me a little of the eighties when I got myself an Atari PC and had to get interface cards and whatnot to be able to use various of the functions of the PC. This one seems to have a BIOS package which isn't yet complete. That said, what it does do it does well and it's very snappy. I'd happily use a Mini PC instead of the big rig with raid array and graphics card.

Dead In A Year
Edit/Update: Died just about one year after purchase. Power supply failed in the middle of rendering a video, and the computer was bricked. Will be looking for another brand and PC in the future. Original Review Below: Punches Way, Way Above It's Weight I am not new to mini PCs. On a whim and a chance several years ago, I started picking them up on sale to see how they compared with the big boys (e.g. Acer, Apple, Asus, Lenovo, and Dell). Honestly, it's a mixed bag with mini PCs. Some offer no support and are fly-by-night brands. But I've been pretty happy with Beelink. I've never bought a computer from them yet that let me down. This Ryzen 9 model is really great for the money. I'm using it to run two HDMI screens and Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve / Studio with a speed editor. So far it's playing back 4k and rendering like a beast. I'll edit the review if things ever go south, but so far I'm tickled with the value of this mini PC. Btw, it only has one USB-C port, so get a multiplier. As for USB-A, there are three I believe. The noise level is quiet, and one other thing to mention is that it booted up easy with the latest version of Windows. No driver issues or glitches at all.

Small, Quiet, Fast, Easy
Excellent product so far. Setup followed the instructions perfectly. Windows Activation was immediate after initial setup and connection to internet, per the instructions. All ports and functions work as expected. The unit is quieter than expected, almost perfectly silent. Boot-up and shut-down take only a couple seconds. Performance for browsing and streaming is flawless. I didn't find any additional software (bloatware) on the machine, which is a plus. 3 USB ports on the back is a plus for me (keyboard, mouse, printer). I wish the 3.5mm sound jack was on the back because I have external speakers. Oh well. Air flow in this unit seems better than others because of the extra thickness for cooling fins in the back. However, I tend to believe other reviews indicating that heat management is compromised in such a small enclosure (probably an issue across the market). I don't plan to work the unit very hard, but I would be careful with gaming or CPU-intensive, long-duration computation. I could see it getting pretty hot and possibly failing early. In my case I have no worries for general household computing needs. Super happy with the small size and convenience so far. If anything changes I'll update the review.

As someone else said, impressive specs for this little guy!
I ordered the "Beelink SER5 MAX Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS(6nm, 8C/16T) up to 4.75GHz, Mini Computer 24GB LPDDR5 RAM 1TB NVME SSD" almost a year ago. And whoa, but it's blazing fast compared to the Dell dinosaur I had before. Boot up was fast and everything was like a dream. But there are a few problems such as it's so small, that the USB ports are limited and they don't allow a lot of room (if you've a big, wieldy USB stick, but that's a minor issue and can easily be resolved with a USB hub). Initially, I did have problems where every few months, it'd reboot, but that might have happened a couple of times. Since then, it's been fine...maybe got all its updates. My biggest issue is with the fan. It's CONSTANTLY running, even when nothing is going on. I'm sensitive to the noise. (fixed it below) EDIT: Loud fan problem fixed with the help of Google AI! Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Changed advanced power settings > Change "Minimum processor state" from 100% to 5-10% and "Maximum processor state" from 100% to 99% (this "Maximum processor state" alone fixed it for me). Google had a couple of other things like cleaning the vents and going into the BIOS, but I didn't have to do those things since the change on Windows fixed my issue. However, it's a good idea to clean the vents for these small mini computers every 6 months or so, per Google.

By far the best!
In the past I have purchased Industrial fanless mini pc's because of the robust build quality, built like tanks and last. But recently I was looking for a mini with more IO, most industrial models are lacking in connectivity, Thunderbolt, USB4 (Type-C) etc. I found several reviews for this unit on YouTube. All very positive reviews calling it the best! Not to mention the build quality! All aluminum body for durability and cooling, with fans. Without a doubt the nicest looking PC's as well. Great colors! I could go on and on about the unit but there are a number of reviews on YouTube. I will say that I was so impressed with the built quality, design features and performance of the unit, that I just punched another one. The designers didn't miss anything on this unit, the size is a plus for cooling and the fans, has two M.2 NVME drive slots, DDR5 RAM, HDMI is 2.1, USB 4 (Type-C). Finger print sensor I use each time at startup, functions flawlessly! The rubber feet are a strip, so it doesn't matter if it's an uneven surface. A pull tab to remove the bottom plate, the attention to detail, IO, performance is excellent! Dual 2.5G ethernet is also an important feature, I use both connected in bridged mode. (Win 11 Pro) I watched one review comparing the GTR to another company using the same 7940HS. A smaller, compact "cramped" cheap plastic box. It was unable to match the Beelink performance due to overheating, thermal throttling. I personally like the power supply connector, but some reviews complained about it being proprietary. NOTE: Another important feature. (I found this on the Beelink website) "If you want to use USB4 port (PD3.0 100W) for power supply, please set the TDP to 54W in your BIOS settings and use a PD charger which supports 20V voltage and maximum OCP of 6.32A. Please be sure to connect 120W power adapter to DC port for power supply if you set the TDP to 65W".

Be carefull Beelink SER8 is not AI open weight models ready
Is a good machine, but two critical points if you believe this is for local AI: 1. TPU AI is only for minimal tasks, OCR o voice recognition. AMD is not AI ready so far. 2. no VRAM in GPU! so you will need your RAM for this, with 40G from your 64GB is really enough! BUT for local AI models inference will take a lot of time for the PCI speed between GPU and your RAM. ~90 GB/s in theory, ~60 GB/s in real life, about 20 tokens per second, a real good miniPC with GPU and NVRAM is about 200 tokens per second. 3 stars cause USB4, could connect external GPU system, in 4 years you could have cheaper 34GB NVRAM for this, and you have MVMe storage which is minimal for your AIs projects.

Small and Mighty!
What an amazing little unit! Easy to set up, boots fast with tons of headroom in terms of storage and memory. I'm not a gamer thought so I don't know about that performance. But for an everyday desktop computer that runs silently and at an extremely affordable price, you can't beat it! Did I mention it's small? 4.5" X 5" X 1.75"

Impressed!
I needed to replace my "All in One" (AIO) computer and wasn't sure which route to go another AIO, laptop or desktop. After hours of research I decided the laptops, which are expensive didn't have large enough screens so I would have to attach a monitor and the AIO's were expensive with the options I was looking for and the "traditional" desktops take up a lot of space. I wasn't aware of mini computers until I started my research and found out they pack a LOT of options in a very small package. I was able to get a better computer, that has plenty of storage, great graphics and regenerates very quickly. I'm not a gamer but the info I came across showed this little gem could definitely make playing a lot of fun. It was very easy to set up, just plug it in add a monitor, mouse and keyboard (which it has several ports to accommodate). I do miss the option of a SID card port and yes a CD player but I have a unit I can plug into one of the many ports. This was a great purchase and even with having to buy a new monitor was still less than a laptop. Note; it does not have speakers.
