Review: Useful and easy to install - I had seen this used to store surfboards and kayaks in Cornwall, and it's now used to hoist my roof box into the garage ceiling. Easy to install, good quality fixings (no tarnishing or rust even after a season in the outdoors), and even in high winds the box only swayed a little. The screws included were too short for my ceiling so I used my own bolts, but the rest of the supplied parts are good quality. The rope has not gone brittle as most cheaper ones tend to, and it works perfectly doing what I needed - storing the roof box well out of the way until needed.

**Q: I have an open sloped garage ceiling. Will yhis product still work?**
A: Great question! For the system to work properly and securely hoist and store your gear, it needs to be mounted with the pulley brackets level (parallel to the floor), so installing it in a space with a sloped ceiling would require some DIY adjustments first in order to have a flat surface for the brackets to be mounted to.

**Q: How long are the straps?  I need 14 feet to get around the box I want to hoist up.**
A: Great question! The straps that would go around the cargo box for this hoist are 8ft long.

**Q: Some reviewers mention a "pro" version.  I don't see any such language in the options above.  Is this "pro" version for sale?**
A: This is the newly designed version of the hoist. This version has overall simpler installation, higher quality ropes, higher weight maximum they can support, when properly mounted to ceiling joists, and overall improved manufacturing and components, including hardware.

**Q: Replacements love this but the straps need replacement around the box. Are there options to buy a replacement strap set?**

Item looks good and secure, pictures in guide needed a bit more detail. But easy enough to work out. Can be mounted both ways to a ceiling joist. Good news its holding in place. If it does not, I will be back!
