Well made and fit my Farmers sink
As advertised, this strainer has a slightly longer shaft depth. Other “standard” strainers were not long enough to fit the depth needed for my Farmer Sink. Well made and fit perfectly. UPDATE: Although initially nice, the black paint chipped off the ring of the strainer in just a couple of months. Quality is not good. Had to replace it. I did so with a much more expensive one from Kohler. That one chipped in less than a month. We only use Dawn dish soap. Both appear to be China junk.

Poor quality
When we first purchased these I loved them. I have never used anything but soap and water on them. We have new sinks and I wanted to protect the sink as well. Now after a year the black paint is chipped on all of them. We actually had to spray paint them to have them black again and not silver. So disappointed.

Something to Consider, Strainer Basket Auto Seals
This is a great sink strainer. Something you want to consider…It has one issue that someone may or may not want…That is the basket strainer gravity auto-plugs and seals with no way to keep water draining while the strainer is in. Therefore, if you are wanting the sink to drain you’ll have to remove the strainer basket. Though once you drop the strainer basket in, the water and gravity will wind the strainer almost to a tight seal. You’ll have to turn the strainer tight if you want a 100% plug. I have a cover strainer with the sink so I leave the basket strainer off to the side when not needing to plug the sink.

Peeling within a year
Cute, but th black is already peeling. It’s not even a year old.

Drain
Less than 6 months paint is chipping off. Quality is awful. They were excellent at replacing and took professional care of making situation right. Very pleased.

Flawed design
Easy to install. Looks nice. One major flaw, water sits in the basket even when the screw is unlocked and the drain is open. Why?

Good product but instructions could be refined.
Great product, comes with all your needs. You supply the tools. Next, the instructions are not correct for only 1 step and if you are new to the DIY or plumbing trade you could follow them and installation will be incorrect. Not a huge deal but do note the rubber gasket goes under the sink and not between the lip of the strainer to the sink drain top. So you should add a light ring of rolled plumber’s putty, align and lower the strainer in. From the bottom, 1st rubber gasket to sink button, paper gasket follows to be under the rubber gasket and then the threaded lock ring. The paper gasket should be sandwiched between the rubber gasket and the metal, threaded lock ring. Paper gasket should not be making contact with the sink. That’s all, other than that I liked it and will enjoy the product. Do, please read the paper instructions and do not use harsh chemicals to clean your sink. It will damage the finish and peel.

Paint peels
I’ve had this installed and in use a little over a year. I’m disappointed to see the paint is peeling off already. One side no longer holds water, so not happy after using a year. 😟
