Nuwave Oxypure Zero E500 Air Purifier with Washable & Reusable Filters

My doc recommended I get an air purifier to help me with severe allergies that’s been kicking my butt the last couple months keeping me coughing all night long. So I chose this one. Honestly when I first got it and set it up (super easy to set up), I wasn’t sure if it’s truly working. I mean my air seemed clean. It went from red to green in seconds in my room making me think I didn’t really need this but I kept it on auto and left it on anyways. Since i only bought one to see if it works good before buying two, during the day I’ll put it in my living room near my kitchen & noticed that it truly does work great with odors caused by cooking and even smoke! But here’s what really sold me… I’m having tiles ripped out and new ones installed right now! Omg the amount of dust that causes is unreal! Knowing it can also reck havoc on my a/c system, i hung plastic sheets to block areas off in the house to prevent the dust getting into my return vents. And use heavy duty fans with the doors open to the outside to basically help “vacuum seal and suck the dust outside” of the rooms while they’re breaking out the old tiles. Even doing that, it’s still got really dusty. And it’s summer in Florida no less, so I really don’t want to turn my a/c off. So the second day, I placed the air purifier in the areas that’s a being worked on, and wow what a difference it helped make! It was working none stop on max like a horse. Now I definitely want two of them to spread between areas of the house. I know I’ll still need to get my a/c unit serviced to have it thoroughly cleaned from dust to prevent damage to the unit, but this machine is helping with keeping that dust to a minimal amount compared to the first day when I didn’t think to use it! This is worth getting and covers a good amount of square footage! As soon as I can spare some mula to get another one, I definitely will so I won’t have to move it from room to room. Only down side is it does get kinda loud when running on max mode (when air quality is red), so if you’re trying to relax and watch tv with this in the same room, be prepared to put your valume on really loud or use AirPods to listen to your show lol 😂 otherwise the noise doesn’t bother me, it’s just hard to hear the tv over it if it’s running on max!

I bought this unit to avoid replacing air filters. Usually with air filters they are either not dirty enough to merit a replacement or long overdue. This was an ideal solution. Did have one problem after two years. After performing the routine task of washing the filters and allowing several days to dry, I noticed the LEDs flickering. Unit did not seem to operate in the auto mode. Contacted Nuwave and after providing pictures and a short video was provided with a prepaid label to send the unit back. Turns out the power PCBA dn high voltage needed to be replaced. Credit to Nuwave for standing by their product. My contact Yessenia provided clear communication throughout the process. Now have the unit back. The unit is working as expected. Bottom line is that Nuwave has a worthwhile product and they stand by their product.

This is the best investment in a home appliance I’ve ever used and worth every penny- so easy to clean, I never have to buy new filters because it’s washable, the fan speed options are perfect (turbo mode is the best). I have really bad allergies and all I need to do is turn this on for about 5-10 minutes and it clears everything out to leave clean fresh air. Super easy to set up too, we didn’t have to assemble anything plus it’s on wheels so you can roll it from room to room. We even used this when there was a bad wildfire nearby to prevent smoke from contaminating our air quality. Another huge plus is that it actually REMOVES ODOR from the air AND CLEANS AIR at the same time. I have been using for over a year and now I am considering buying a 2nd unit to put into the basement to get rid of that stuffy smell. Highly recommended!!! Don’t waste your money on the cheap ones, this is your best bet.

I believe it works well although my last one didn’t even last two years! But I liked it enough to try again because I live by the Tijuana River Valley California where there’s a sewage spill from Mexico constantly polluting the air and river. Size is good. Love the auto feature that comes on when the air quality or odors change. And I don’t have to buy filters as they are washable.

Used in an apartment aprox. 750 sq ft. Cooking smells are eliminated. The sniffer once it detects cooking order, has the turbo mode kick in. 10-15 minutes later apartment has no cooking smell left. I don't smoke and I only need to dust 3-4 weeks apart. I let it run 24 hrs. a day. Using the auto mode. I can't hardly hear it running and it does not interfear with sleeping at night. Filters are easy to clean just follow the manufacturer instructions. Quality product every one should get one. KP

9/2023 - I got it sitting next to my Proscenic A9, can't really say im that impressed the A9 has a built in p2.5 reader and usually brought the air down to around 5 or so, if i got both of them going it won't drop below 8 something is wrong if you ask me... 8/2024 - didn't even make it a year and the control panel is barely showing light (the order light doesn't show at all anymore) the control panel now flashes like its going out, and the unit randomly turns itself off. Its not a terrible unit but it still has a lot of flaws. another update - well just a few days later after seeing the lights randomly flicker now none of the lights on the control panel light up, I can't tell what setting its on anymore or anything. It had such great starting potential but now its basically useless since you can't read/set any of the settings. 10/6- So after fiddling with it for a while i was a able to get the wifi part to work and i got the unit to connect to my phone so now i just use it instead of the control panel. going to add 1 more star since this is kind of a bypass (i did e-mail them now im just waiting for a response) 11/18 - i updated the rated, i got a hold of the customer service and they supposedly fixed the buttons (unit arrives tomorrow) if all is well and everything is working i'll reupdate this to a 5-star product. Final Update: just got the air purifier back, and they ended up just replacing the unit, i gave it the 5 stars it originally have cause it is a good unit!

THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!! I've been communicating with the company for several days regarding the apparent failure of my air purifier after less than 1 1/2 years. They grudgingly offered a one-time replacement after claiming that my machine was past its warranty. I remembered seeing 3 years in the manual AND also 5 years for reviewing the product on Amazon and scanning a QR code. I was challenged, so I provided the information (some of which was in their own manual). When I looked at my original review (which I may leave in place below), I saw that I had specifically mentioned the 5-year warranty in exchange for review + QR code. My review was left before I had a chance to really use the machine because there was a time limit on applying for the 5-year warranty. After supplying all of that documentation, they offered to honor their 3-year warranty--but not the 5-year warranty I obviously qualified for. I didn't just buy one of these not-cheap machines for myself. I got one for my daughter, too. She says they don't use it anymore because they didn't notice any difference with their allergies, and electricity is too expensive to waste on a giant white-noise machine. I hope that no one purchase one of these machines based on my original 5-star review from April 2025. ******************************************* Updated review, Sept. 9, 2026. (Original review is below this updated review.) The air purifier seemed great but it is less than 18 months old and is malfunctioning. I went to clean the filters since it had been a couple of months. The filters were immaculate (even though the house has cats). Previously, there was at least some visible dust or dander on the filters. This time, nothing. I tried resetting it, vacuuming the various sensors, etc. The manufacturer said I can return it and they will either repair or replace it, but it is honestly too unwieldy for me to box up (must find a box) and take somewhere to ship it. I guess it's just been sucking up electricity and providing white noise for the past several months. I'm really disappointed. I bought one of these for my daughter, too, and I'm hoping her experience is better. Original review: This is a preliminary review that I'm leaving in order to activate the "free" 5-year warranty. I will update it when I've really used the product for awhile. In the meantime... After so many bad experiences setting up electronic and household products for the first time, the Nuwave was a breeze! All of the parts are clearly labeled. Downloading the app (which I may never use) was simple. I followed the instructions to wash the metal filters in warm soapy water, rinse, allowed to dry completely. And it's now running on the "turbo" setting for an initial cleaning. I'm a cat lover and highly allergic to them. The bedroom is vacuumed and dusted regularly, and the sheets changed every 2 or 3 nights. And the allergy is still a problem. I'm really hoping that the Nuwave addresses (preferably solves) the problem. I chose this machine specifically because the filters are washable. Finding, buying and replacing filters on different devices is a big pain. The machine will notify me (God, I hope it doesn't *text* me!) when filters need cleaning or settings need to be changed.

The capabilities of this Purifier are endless. It purifies a large room without any problems. YThe other Great Option is that the Filters are Great and they can be clean and Never Replace unless one of the Seven Filters (I said it 7 Filters) is damage. Great Unit its a must have.
