Works!!
We bought a Port-A-Cool art a discount supply place. It had been dropped off a truck so it was as is. We got a great price, but the pump wasn't working. We replaced the original pump with this one and it's worked perfectly ever since!

Premature pump failures
Fails after a few months, not of the same quality as original, purchased 2 at different times, same result, would not recommend.

Exact Replacement for Original Pump
This pump was an exact replacement for the original water pump and included new fittings and a new rubber O-ring to waterproof the wiring as it exits the wiring box. On my Portacool 1000 there is no access port, I had to remove the cooler pad to get to the wiring. Your cooler may vary. The only part I had to re-use was the clip that holds the water tubing to the pump outlet. It took time and I had to be a bit of an contortionist, but I got the new pump installed and it works fine.
