This is a lovely little compact tape measure that has a quality feel to it and a very positive locking mechanism. The only thing that lets it down is that the measurements are only in metric, which is not clearly stated in the item description!

Je viens de recevoir cette petite merveille. Première impression de solidité, de prise en main, de maniabilité.. Je félicite STANLEY de cette trouvaille, qui nous apporte à nous, les bricoleurs, maintes manipulations (non, pas de royalties perçus par la marque). Ce n'est qu'un avis personnel que je tenais à partager.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem möglichst kompakten Bandmaß für mein quasi-EDC Werkzeug, das als Notfallwerkzeug im Arbeitsrucksack dabei ist und das ich in weiter abgespeckter Form auf Reisen mitnehme. Die winzigen 1m Modelle waren mir zu klein und zu empfindlich. Dieses 2 Meter Bandmaß ist sehr kompakt und trotzdem mechanisch robust. Die schwarzen Gehäuseteile sind gummiert, das 12,5mm breite Band trägt bis 90cm ausgezogen sein Eigengewicht ohne zu knicken, die Bandklemmung und die Einzugsfeder funktionieren sehr gut. Das Gehäuse ist 45mm lang, 46mm hoch und 22,5mm dick und wird von 3 Schrauben zusammengehalten. Das Maßband ist mehr als ausreichend genau. Auf den ersten 150mm ist die Abweichung zu einem guten Marken-Messschieber nicht größer als 1/10mm. Der Haken am Bandende ist 1mm dick und um 1mm verschiebbar, um bei Innen- und Außenmessungen seine eigene Materialstärke auszugleichen. Das ist kein Fehler, sondern Absicht. In manchen Rezensionen wird das nicht erkannt und deswegen irrtümlich kritisiert.
