This is a MUST HAVE for any Kia/Hyundai owner! I needed a new air filter for my car (2023 Kia Forte) as my original one was old and had attracted an uninvited 🐭 that lead to a rancid odor in my AC system. Being that air filters at auto shops are overpriced, I purchased this one for less than $10 (prime next day delivery), and it is absolutely perfect! It is very easy to replace, it is nicely thick and firm, it fits perfectly in the compartment, and it functions well without causing any unnecessary noise. It is an unbeatable deal!

Fit perfectly in a 2023 Kia Forte GT Line. My experience has been that changing the cabin air filter makes the AC perform much better (colder). If your vehicle's AC doesn't seem as cold as it used to be then the most likely cause is a clogged cabin air filter in which case changing the filter will usually result in much colder air. Pay attention to the air flow arrow on the old filter before removing and put the new filter in with the air flow arrow (side of filter) pointing the same way. The package does include installation directions but they obviously use 1 set of directions for all vehicles and are consequently so general as to be worthless. To install this filter on a 2023 Kia Forte GT Line 1) empty your glove box 2) On the right side of the glove box there is a post coming out from the glove box that fits into a tab that extends down from above. Squeeze the ends together and then move the end of the tab coming down from above away from the glove box over the end of the post extending from perpendicular from the right side of the glove box. 3) Inside the glove box there is a round plug. Turn the plug on each side counter clockwise until the plug can be removed. The end of the plug goes into holes in the side of the dash. When both plugs and the post on the side have been removed the glove box will fall down. 4) In the area behind where the glove box was is a rectangular door. Squeeze the 2 opposing tabs toward the middle of the door to release the right side of the door and pull the door open from the right. You should now see the old filter. 5) Note that the right side of the door has 2 opposing tabs. After you have replaced the filter just push the left side of the door aligning the 2 tabs into the slot in the left, swing the door closed on the right side until it clicks closed. 6) Reattach the post on the right side pushing the hole in the end of the tab over the post until it clicks. 7) put 1 of the plugs into the hole on the inside of the glove box and slowly move the glove box up & down until the plug goes into the hole in the side of the dash and then turn the plug to lock in place.

Such an easy install! My car had a funky smell to it. Its only 5 years old, a 2020 Kia Rio sport. Yes, i smoked in it etc. but this wasn't a smoke smell. And i had just bought the car. To this day I've only had it for 5-6 months. Well, I changed the air filter and OMG!!!! That was it the entire time!!! Aafter a couple of days the smell was completely gone! And I’m not saying that this is a air purifier or a air freshener or anything by any means. I’m saying that that is how well the filter filters out what is in the car when it’s changed when it’s supposed to be lol. But so far its great! 😊
