I bought two of these. One for me, one as a gift, and I was impressed when they arrived. The beads are definitely small - almost bordering on too small for their purpose, so be aware of that, but each bead is individually knotted and the string of beads is quite sturdy, almost stiff. No doubt it will loosen with use. There is a nice weight to these beads even given their small size. The person I gave them to was impressed as well and thought they were beautiful. For practical use when chanting, I find bigger beads much easier, but if I'm chanting quietly while out and about, these are beautiful, discreet and double as a necklace. A good purchase.
