First impressions are good.
I only got the basket a few days ago and haven’t had a chance to carry anything significant in it yet, so I can’t speak to its true utility or durability. But so far my experience with it has been good. it is exactly as advertised. It appears to be very well-made. Unlike most baskets, this one has moving parts so,obviously, a lot more engineering was involved. It is well done. Unfolding the basket is very easy. The sides all snapped into place with very little effort. Folding it back down is just as easy. The latches are easy to operate and the hinges work smoothly. Though installation is pretty straightforward, it was a little more fiddly than I anticipated. I’m not faulting the basket in anyway. I totally blame physics. And sausage figures. The problem I had is that with the bicycle resting on the kickstand, the top surface of the rear rack naturally sloped to the side. There is very little friction between the rack and the basket and gravity was a serious issue. I was ultimately able to do it by myself but it took some trial and error. The key to the process was to position the bicycle upright, and hold it in place with 1 foot on the kickstand. At least to get the first bolt in, it would be much easier if you had an extra pair of hands available. Preferably ones that are attached to long arms and are made up of piano fingers. I don’t remember seeing it in the description so I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bolts, washers and wing nuts are made of stainless steel. I’m concerned that the wingnuts will work themselves loose over time and get lost. Because of the shape of the provided lower mounting bars, I don’t think lock washers would help. So I grabbed some 1/4 - 20 Nylock nuts to thread onto the bottom of the bolts so that if the wingnuts did come loose, I at least wouldn’t lose them. That’s when I found out that the bolts are metric. So much for that idea. For now I’m just going to keep an eye on it. One last issue that I have to deal with is that the top surface of the rack on my bicycle is not completely flat. It kicks up about 3/8 of an inch at the back end. It’s a detail I never considered while shopping. Because the Cyclingdeal basket is much longer than the rack, I’m left with an air gap between the bottom of the basket and the side rails of the rack As a result, I’m not able to thoroughly tighten the rear wing nuts without the deforming the bottom of the basket. In this case, the problem is easily solved with a simple spacer. But it could be a showstopper for some of the baskets out there. In particular, I’m thinking of the ones that are held on with spring loaded clamps. I seriously considered getting one of them. If I had, I would be returning it, because I failed to pay attention to the details. In this case, I got lucky that there’s a fairly easy workaround. Last, but not least is the cargo net. As promised, it feels very heavy duty and has hooks that are easy to use. Overall, it has been a positive experience so far, and I have every reason to believe that over time my Cyclingdeal Rear Bicycle Basket will live up to my high expectations. So far, I feel confident in giving it five stars. Update: I’ve been using it for the last 10 days. It is as handy as I had hoped. It has enabled me to run many small shopping errands for few cents of electricity instead of burning $5 a gallon gasoline. It will easily pay for itself in a matter of months.

Definitely worth it
Really good basket. Very tough for its weight and the fact that it is capable folding completely flat. That's a nice feature, because it can be used as a platform for oversized cargo. Easy to mount. Affects balance, but that was expected and easy to adjust to.

A Good Bike Basket
So I'm writing a positive review for an item I returned.... On the very positive side this basked it very well constructed (I mean it's tough!), and I liked how easily it folded down and back up again...very handy. And it's roomy, it will hold lots of groceries, ammunition, etc.... The only real downside, I thought it was difficult to install on my bike rack. Two hands would have been a really good thing...hey, it's not all my fault that she left me... OK, so why did I return it? As soon as I got it installed on my bike I realized that I could not swing my leg over the basket in order to get on the bike (No, I do not have a step-thru...) Two things to point out, I'm old, and apparently not very bright because I did not realize this was going to be a problem before I ordered this otherwise excellent rear bike basket....

The quality is great!
My first basket one of the clips broke causing items to fall out that side. I got a replacement using amazon within two weeks of using the basket. My 2nd one I do not know how it cracked but probably from some impact while riding my bike and going off a curb. I returned both back. The vendor were nice enough to send me a 3rd basket after having issues. My 3rd one of the winged nuts and screws fell off somehow. The vendor sent me two new mounts along with 4 bolts, washers and winged nuts. Basically all the parts to hold the crate. Let me tell you something if you can get 3 brackets mounted onto this crate. Do it! It makes it way more sturdy and the wing nuts don’t get loose as much. I had a pretty hard fall the other day causing the front to crack. But it was easy enough to fix with zip ties. I highly suggest you use 10 inch 65lb supported zip ties if you carry heavy stuff mounting two zipties each corner to keep the basket holding. This basket fits a 5 gallon jug water container. I took it to refill a 5 gallon water jug and rode it back. No joke! If you plan to carry something that heavy in the basket use some straps or net to hold it in or ride at relatively slow speeds. I’ve put many big things in this basket. My spare ebike battery, tool box bag both weighing together close to about 35 lbs and many other things. My favorite part about this basket is being able to mount a ton of rear led’s making you seeable from the rear. I’ve been able to mount the wsd all in one rear led, magicshine seemee 300 using their clip holder using zipties, knog rear mid and big cobb and finally the one I am using finally is the knog rear blinder rack using four m4x16mm and six of the washers that comes with the product. One of the best feature is if you can get a cover over the basket the items inside your basket look stealthy. No one will know what is in your basket unless they dig into it. Overall this is probably the biggest basket you can find on Amazon as well as being foldable when not needed to be used. I highly recommend you get this bike basket. I already bought it a 2nd time and would buy it again and again.

Great Customer Service
This is a terrific basket. I like it because it can be easily removed if I want to take my bike on the bus (no baskets allowed). It is also lighter than my other basket and works well on my new aluminum, light weight bike. Recently, a thief stole one of the (under) brackets. Joey sent me a replacement part at no cost. This is great customer service!!! Thanks, Cycling Deal.

Best collapsible rear basket that I have purchased
Bought one for my bike and found it very easy to set up and take down. Bought a different brand for my second bike as it was less expensive and returned it as the set up was more difficult (sides required a lot of effort before snapping together) . The Rear Basket is easy to secure to the bike and you can hear the click as the sides easily snap into place. The large size has enough space for a large backpack. A net comes with the Rear Basket, but the sides are tall enough that things do not bounce out. The plastic sides and bottom plus the stainless steel hardware ensure the basket is rust proof. Although the hardware includes wingnuts, I switched to lock nuts (M6 1.0) as mine is a permanent install, and, if someone wants to take the Rear Basket, they will spend about 30-45 mins taking it off. The ability for the basket to collapse allows a clean look when the basket is not being utilized. So far, I am very satisfied with my 2 purchases.

Great Idea. Super High Quality. This Is A Really Large Crate/Basket.
Great idea. Super high quality. Folds up quickly and neatly. Too large for my bike, so retuned.

Kind of big and clumsy. A pannier is better if you carry small items regularly.
Installation wasn't too hard and it seems sturdy on my first ride with it. However, I can't really recommend it. It's just too big and heavy on the back of my bike when compared with a pannier bag. Some negatives: I can lift my leg over it to get seated or to get off the bike, but because it's so big, I have to be conscious of this. When installed, it also precludes the ability to attach a pannier since it hangs over the rung that would allow you to clip the pannier in place, so you have to use the basket once installed. It's not portable either, so you can't unclip it quickly if you decide to use a pannier bag. (I imagine it'll take about 5 minutes to remove and if you want to install it again, that'll be another 5 minutes. A hassle.) I normally carry a bike lock with me, and having it in the basket, it would rattle around when I hit bumps. The netting helps prevent it from going flying, but there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of securing small items in the basket with it. The net is quite big and really meant for securing large items. (The eyelets don't feel obviously positioned to match the netting's hooks either.) I was able to get the netting on, but there's a big gap above my lock, so it ended up bouncing around a lot. I'm giving it 3 stars because I can see it working for someone who really wants to go with a rear basket, but from a practical standpoint, a pannier bag is just better, and it's really not suitable for holding small items in place.
