The British Knight [Bay, Louise] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The British Knight Review: Well Done - Romance at it's best! - I don't think you can go wrong with a swoon worthy Brit and a strong heroine. I was looking for a quick but engaging easy read and I found it in British Knight and believe this is one of my favorites. You will not only fall in love with Alexander's brooding way but will soon learn that Violet gives as good as she gets. The sexual chemistry rolls off each and every page and as you read you can feel these characters changing and evolving. This is my favorite kind of read...yes a bit predictable (but I like that). It is very well written with a good story-line and you will find yourself rooting for this couple's HEA. British Knight is wickedly sexy, funny, heartwarming and oh so charming. This is the perfect love story told in a dual point of view and you will not want to put it down. I loved Violet's character - though I had hoped she would seek some retribution from her old boyfriend (with Alex's help). I would so like to read more about this couple.....PLEASE!!!! To be honest, I have one-clicked several Louise Bay books .For whatever reason British Knight is my first read from Louise.....WHY, WHY, WHY??? I have some reading to catch up on but I did want to leave a review. This charming book helped me out of a book funk. Thank you Louise Bay .....I absolutely loved this story. Well done! Review: 2 people finding themselves and each other and falling in love! - Love Story with no cheating (except for the ex who's mentioned but never makes an appearance). A story of a woman betrayed by love in more than one way so she runs from it, and a man who never really new love and spent his life trying to earn his father's love respect and attention even after the old man was dead, trying to live up to his Dad's reputation. Her carefree, no planning, no expectation attitude clashes with his workaholic, planning for his future career goals character. She challenges him and pushed him where everyone else was afraid to. In the process they find themselves and each other and fall in love. Lots of great sex, good characters and good read. One i'd probably re-read when in the mood for a lighthearted love story without too much angst.

"She was my own personal sun."
The British Knight is book four in The Royals series by Louise Bay. This is my very first book by Louise and can easily be read as a stand alone. I am now an official fan of this author. I adored this book. I adored watching these two characters sort out their lives and find their HEA’s. It was beautiful, it was sexy, and it was amazing! Violet King was badly hurt by her ex-boyfriend in college. She had thought she was in love but things definitely didn’t turn out the way she thought they would. Ever since then, she’s been in a sort of limbo, working waitress jobs, but never staying long in one job. She refuses herself to be romantically involved as well. She has one night stands with no emotional entanglements. But, after her last job ended, her sister in law convinces her to go to London and she would help her to find work there. As it turned out, she quickly got a job working for a barrister doing administrative work. It’s a chance to change her life, to finally cut ties with all the memories in New York and start fresh. Alexander Knightley is a barrister in London. His life is his job. He works pretty much every moment except when he’s asleep, which isn’t much. He’s broody and rude and most people are afraid of him. His office is filled with stacks of paper since no one has the courage to go in there to try to organize things. His office has decided he needs an assistant and they hired one, Violet. But Violet brings a whole new challenge into the office. Because he can’t stop thinking about her, wanting to touch her. “She was my own personal sun.” They really tried to ignore the pull between them but it was too great, too strong. Violet was only in London temporarily. Could they just live in the moment and enjoy each other until it’s time for her to leave? “Surprising Violet, making her happy, felt like the biggest achievement in my week. I’d never experienced anything like it outside of the law.” Alex is a workaholic. Violet is afraid to let someone into her heart again. She can’t allow herself to be hurt again. Violet is able to show Alex that there is more to life than inside his office. Alex is able to give Violet back her confidence. To help her to finally look to the future and start some dreams of her own. Together, these two were just magic. Since I’ve never read this author before, I was blindsided with how much I fell in love with this book, with Alexander and Violet. I loved the way they helped each other to grow. How they showed each other what love really was. Alex’s little gestures melted my heart. It might have taken him awhile to figure things out but it was wonderful. And I loved watching Violet blossom and finally start looking to her future and making plans. This was such a good book, I loved everything about it. I will definitely book looking through Louise’s other work. The next book in this series is called The Earl of London and is Darcy’s book. I can’t wait to read it. “She was my priority, my future, my destiny. It was all her.”

Violet and Alexander are fun and sexy
Another great story from Louise Bay. Ms. Bay never fails to create characters that makes you swoon! Violet needed a change and the offer of temporary housing in London for a few months takes Violet from New York to London. Violet is able to find a job being an assistant to a barrister. The barrister happens to be this great looking man that she met at the subway on the way to her interview! Alexander (Alex) is following in his father's footsteps to become a great barrister. He is a workaholic and loner. Everyone in the office "fears" him because he is such a workaholic and cranky! The instant attraction he feels towards Violet puzzles him since he knows he is a workaholic and always puts his work and career first. Which is why he is living in a hotel for the last years! Violet brings out a side of Alex that even he doesn't know he has! Violet just wants to live day by day and doesn't want to think about the future. She and Alex both agree that this works for both of them. But as their relationship develops, both start to want more but is afraid to try and pursue that. Once they realize they both feel the same way, they are more than happy to share their feelings. With Violet's temporary job about to be up, she must decide what she wants to do and for the first time in a long while, she wants to look toward to goals and a future. She and Alex must decide what they want from their relationship and Alex must determine if his life goals are truly what he wants and/or what is best for him. Violet is such a vibrant person and enjoys each day full of life. She is such a great character and it is great to see that she finally decides to figure out her future.

OK, these 2 sucked me in good and proper. The banter and chemistry between Alexander and Violet was fire! Special mentions to the narrators, they were the comforting sounds I needed just now.

Fácil de leer, muy entretenido, bien para pasar el rato o leer en vacaviones en la playa. Me gusto más Manhattan Prince.

Nice story, with no absurde shifts in the story. The characters are attaching, sometimes a bit cheesy, but that's fine by me. In short, a good distraction!

Another amazing book from the series. It’s super funny, juicy and hot. Smart and strong people supporting each other, creating unspeakable bond

4*5 Sweet Sexy Stars. Gahhhh I have to say I flippin loved all things Alex & Violet from just the blurb & couldn’t wait to loose myself once again, in the life, love & location that Louise so magically breathes into her stories. A British Knight gave me my sassy but slightly lost American girl & one over bearing, abrupt but extremely lonely Brit. The mix was as perfect as a G&T with a slice of something zesty, as they brought my senses alive & left me with a thirst for more! Their banter, chemistry & connection was really well written & saw their characters come to life in the most gorgeous of ways. From smart mouths & sassy retorts, to whispered declarations & a burning need for more, their journey was emotionally charged in all the right places. I truly loved how the pace was set. Add the backdrop & depth of detail, it gave me a real glimpse into their world, their wants & their ultimate needs & desires. I hate angst for angst sake & I was so damn happy this didn’t have it. This was a sweet easy read where heartache & hurt was well balanced with vulnerability & strength. It had the perfect amount of angst that allowed the story to flow without me hating on Alex or Violet which had me smiling, because I honestly loved them both loads. Overall this is a fab new stand alone by Louise Bay. For me it is a the perfect addition to this wonderful series. Yes it can be read independently, but one of things I seriously FLOVE is the way LB interlinks the characters & countries within each book & leading couple. Its like hooking up with old friends & seriously can’t get enough. I can whole heartedly recommend you start with the King of Wall Street, so you can fall in love with this whole series & gorgeous & addictive line up.
