Yeah, so I bought this for my wife's birthday. It went down very well! She reminded me of an excited kid when she opened the parcel, ha! Anyway.. Dobby now guards the Harry Potter VHS tapes on our shelves. Really captures the likeness of the character and the quality of the build is absolutely amazing. They did so well with this set. Some really creative techniques used to make the model. Dobby is posable to a certain extent. His arms are posable and his fingers can open and close. He could probably be convinced to hold a small item in his hand. While on the stand he is around the same height as a VHS box (as you can see from photo) Around 20cm I think. Very, very lightweight and easy to knock over. So take care! Or might end up building him twice. Dobby also comes with a few accessories (also photographed) there's a cake, a book and a sock. All fantastic references, of course. Lego sets have come a long way since I was a child. The amount of detail they can achieve these days is always so impressive. This is truly a perfect gift for any Harry Potter fan. Not just for kids either! My wife loves this set. It's quite expensive, but Lego is. We happily pay for it though, because you are getting a quality item. Their quality control measures are mind-blowing. I can't say I've ever had a Lego brick with a moulding error. Have you? Buy him! Bought as Xmas gift for my daughter last year who still loves watching Harry Potter movies at 21 years old. She loved building it and as the hands were movable it made it more appealing. Good quality. Easily built.
