Great
The best picks out there for fast picking, good grip and very accurate. I prefer a softer pick for strumming though

Jim Dunlop Red Nylon Jazz III Pick
Like everything else in life, the choice of pick, strings, strap, guitar etc are all down to ones personal preference. On the internet some people (nerds) go to great lengths raving on about how they can play a gazillion notes a second and wear these picks down to a nub in one session blah blah. Yeah right, and I taught Hendrix all he knew. Suffice to say that I have used these for a month now with a lot of playing with hardly any noticeable wear. I don't find them slippery to hold as I find the raised script sufficient but if I did need more grip (e.g. in a really hot venue) a quick rub over the holding surface with some sandpaper would probably do the trick. It didn't take long to get used to the smaller size or the greater thickness than I've been used to and yes with practice picking has become more accurate. I hesitate to say quicker because that again is down to the individual. These picks have a little bit of flex to them, not much, but enough if you don't want a rigid pick. I also bought some Ultex Jazz III picks which I also like very much and are very hard wearing too. They are a different material (very hard plastic) and have virtually no flex. They area slightly transparent straw colour and will get lost more easily if dropped but it helps keep JD in business. Hope this helps.

Jim Dunlop jazz lll plectrum
Jim Dunlop jazz lll pick certainly is a quality product I have trusted in their products for years, so much hype has been penned about this product, I felt compelled to try some, while it can be seen to improve picking accuracy, and defines lead runs with impressive clarity, I personally prefer a softer pick which to me allows a easier dynamic all round style and feel, sure to suit some, but I think staying with the Jim Dunlop usa nylon 0.46 allows me more dynamics.

The pick is good but slides for me
The pick is good but for me the pick slides when my hand begins to sweat a little making strumming a pain. But the max grip version of the pick is better in my opinion.

Only Jazz picks for me from now on.
These picks literally changed my playing life. I spent years and years playing, using any old pick. I usually used very big picks that were like Doritos, but were perhaps to flimsy to play fast passages and not thick enough to produce pinch harmonics. The Dunlop Jazz III picks were literally a quarter of the size of the old picks I was using. They are small and extremely flexible, and because they are thick you can produce killer pinch harmonics with out your picking bending. I will forever use jazz picks and very much doubt I will go back to any other form of pick. I now understand why these picks are so popular among amazing guitar players. If you were like me and paid no attention to picks thinking it did not effect your performance, please try these and I'm 99% sure you're mind will be changed.

Best Picks I've Ever Used
After being recommended by a friend, I tried out these picks. I've used them for a while now and they've become my go-to guitar picks. They feel great and don't slip easily, and the size has helped me get faster lines down.

once used, always used
we came to this pick via Joe Bonamassa, - my son who is the guitarist here was advised by his tutor to find a smaller pick than the "standard" but had not located one after shopping around. - Then Joe threw his out into the crowd at the end of a gig and my son picked it up, took it home and used it... A bit of research and we discovered what Joe's signature pick is, - the one we had was not called a Jazz III but had Joe's name on it. These picks are small but work very well, - they are small enough to flick between strings easily, - they are small enough to hook up into your finger for non pick work. Now the real Joe one is tucked away in his memorabilia collection alongside the signed band set list, - and we have many spare Jazz III's around the house!

Dramatic Results Since I Switched to this Pick
I had to write this review because of my recent significant experience with Dunlop Jazz III picks, not to be confused with Jazz III "XL" picks, which are larger. I started playing 3 and 1/2 years ago and only took 5 or 6 lessons, mainly to ensure I had the basic form right. I used different picks, primarily Gibson and Fender Mediums, primarily because the guy at the guitar store recommended them, and did not really know what I needed. As time went on, I tried the Dunlop Jazz III XLs and stuck with them for three years. It worked great for Jazz, Blues, Rock, and Metal. Also, the wide base worked well with aggressive strumming, and the stiffness allowed for aggressive single-note lines. You could really move those strings around with authority and accuracy. Yet I soon realized that I was in a rut, and could not increase my speed during my practice of scales and fast riffs. A couple of years ago, a guy had recommended the smaller, original Jazz IIIs, but I tried them and did not like them. Around three months ago, I picked one up from the original package that had been sitting around, and I soon found my speed increasing. This was especially true during string-skipping maneuvers. I believe the wideness of the Jazz III XLs made them a little ungainly for me at higher speeds when maneuvering between strings and having to take awkward picking angles. The smaller size of the Jazz IIIs helped minimize these impediments. I use both the original nylon AND the Stiffo versions, although I favor the Stiffo because I don't want my picks deforming too much at speed. The Jazz III XLs do have the advantage when strumming rhythm passages. The wider base gives you more to hold on to and more leverage with the up and down strokes. But, as my fingers adjust and grow stronger, I am finding I can strum almost as well with the smaller Jazz IIIs. Finally, I like the slightly duller sound of the Dunlop Jazz IIIs, although I have discovered that when playing with distortion, it may be necessary to increase my attack to get that breakup and edge that I am looking for. Since I switched, I have to say the difference in my technical ability, and my tone, has been dramatic!

Really good
One of the best picks I ever bought. It’s small, but this size leads to playing fast parts way easier. I would say it’s good for every genre. You can fell the strings with a warm sound.
