these work. end result looks good. no sag using 3 brackets per 24" of 8"x1.5" solid maple board. However - 2 things to be aware of. Be prepared with a 1/2" bit that is long enough to drill the holes you'll need in the back of the shelf. (6" bit won't do it for a 6" bracket) Secondly, the drywall anchors are terrible - to work properly the screw needs to bust through the anchor when setting it and about half of mine refused to set - which means the anchor starts spinning in the wall which enlarges the hole and essentially makes that anchor worthless. That was the most frustrating part of installing these. (in retrospect, probably best to use your own quality drywall anchors.

Well made easy to use

These are good and do what they say they will, but they’re not great. My only complaint about them is the “tube” that extends out into your shelf is hollow. I’m using on live edge shelves so I needed to cut some down a little. I feel like you lose a little strength when you do this. The only other alternative is to buy them in multiple sizes and use that way. Other than that they work, the weld seems good, and you shouldn’t ever see them if you do it correctly.

Not solid, bent when the contractor pulled them down. Not solid steel. Not able to hold the weight it boasts. Use same picture from Lowe’s site but not the same product at all. Buyer be ware.

The shelf rod is not perpendicular to the mounting plate which forces me to give it only 3 stars. Seems to me that is a necessary part of a shelf bracket. When the mounting plate is flush up against the wall, the shelf that sits on top of the rod should be flat and parallel to the floor. Each bracket had a slightly different angle and it is too rigid to bend. Otherwise the quality is excellent. The bracket is sturdy and the bracket materials are strong enough to hold almost anything one places on it. The package comes with quality drywall anchors, two different types, in fact. And the screws that are included are also not the cheap ones. The paint job feels like a powder coat, but not sure of that. I think the paint will last a long time. If you don't care about the rod not pointing straight out from the wall, this product is of great value.

These were easy to install in our homemade 2x8 shelf with the included jig. However, it was quite difficult to install the shelf evenly on the wall. Part of that is probably due to our use of cheaper 2x8, but it was difficult to align and mark the wall, and both of our shelves ended up slightly warped and imperfect. We are ok with that, but we were hoping for a better finished product
