This thinness means it requires more wraps around pipe connections, which could be a bit tricky in tighter spaces.Due to its slim profile, the tape doesn't hold its shape as easily as thicker alternatives. Additionally, each spool is smaller compared to standard 260" rolls of Teflon tape. Even though these rolls are labeled as 520" in length, their thinness effectively reduces the amount of tape you're getting. When you consider the extra wrapping needed to achieve a good seal, it's more akin to having 180-200" of standard-thickness tape.Despite these characteristics, the price point remains a significant advantage.
