Be sure to upgrade your rings/screw caps as well. They are tin and will rust onto these lids. But the lids themselves didn't rust.

Love these to do wheat sprouts for chickens. I am next in line.

I know you use these for making sprouts etc. but I actually bought them so I could use the mesh and jar for doing my nails using a powder. It catches the excess as I apply it. But I also plan on using this in the kitchen for powdered sugar shaking or cinnamon sugar on cookies. It works well if I need to rinse off food or other objects to strain off water in the jar (example: you water canned something. You now want to open the jar and drain off the water, remove the solid lid and replace with one of these, screw the ring back on and start draining the liquid in the sink or pot, no food will pass). For mom's with young kids, they like to catch a bug or frog and put it in a jar? This allows them to have air without ruining a solid lid to poke holes in it.

Easily rusted after first use

The lids came quickly and were exactly as described. I cut off one star because they rusted while growing the sprouts

These are nice sprouting lids that are super easy to use. The screen is just small enough to keep sprouts and works well to stop pre-sprouts from falling out while allowing draining. No rust so far, and for the cost, I sure got a lot, just in case. That's quite a value!
