Seely Mints made in Oregon by the Seeley family with their own peppermint are, hands down, the best mint patties we have ever tasted! The dark chocolate combined with the flavor and unique texture of the peppermint cream is delightful, particularly after a meal or with a hot beverage (tea or coffee). We first tasted Seely mints at the Mount St. Helen's Visitor Center where they're sold on the bookstore counter. That said, there are many vendors for Seely Mints, so we are uncertain re: freshness for the mints obtained from different sources. There is not much that can "go bad" on these mints. The dark chocolate and white mint filling can become dry, but remain perfectly edible. To be sure, of freshness, we suggest ordering directly from Seely. That also seems the best way to support this family farm's business.
