It’s amazing product! I want it something for every day use as normal gels or pomades are destroying my hair. It’s very liquid and it’s not ment for very short hair

Liquid not gel and poor hold - very disappointing
I love the John Masters hair paste (matte) and thought the Styling Gel would be a good option when I want some shine in my hair but similar hold. Firstly, unless this is a faulty Amazon product, it's not a gel, more a liquid that pours out the container (rather than squeezing It out like a normal gel). It's so thin then that it just washes over your hair - no controlled application. Not noticed any significant hold as a consequence. Really disappointed and also rather surprised by all the other positive reviews.

My husband has thick hair and needs a product with decent hold but doesn’t want helmet hair. He also wants it to smell good but I can’t do synthetic fragrance. This holds his hair in place, with some shine, not grease look. His hair still feels nice and it smells great without giving me a headache. Also much cheaper than another brand we used to get that is naturally based. Definite winner!

Lightly scented and with a scent that dissipates quickly this gel works fine. It feels thick like true aloe. A little goes a long way. I ordered it because I pull my hair up and all my baby short hairs just fly around and look like I have bed head. I’m not a fan of hair spray. This gel will feel thick and crusty if you apply it heavily. It will be lighter if you use it sparingly. I like to take all the wispy hair around my face and get them to curl making my shirt hairs look tended to. This gel did just that. See photo. I also think it did a decent job of keeping my other short hairs up in my head instead of making me look like Einstein. I’m completely satisfied with this gel.
