Solid value for the money
This item has been in use for months now, operating up to 16 hours per day. It has definitely helped with air quality, moisture removal, and mold prevention in the basement. Claim of 2500 sq. ft. seems a bit of a stretch as the unit seems to barely keep up with a 25' by 20' room. It is compact though and fairly quiet so points there. Speed isn't its strong suit but it seems a great buy if you require a portable dehumidifier and your room isn't too huge. Using the drain hose is a must if doing a large room though as the catch basin is compact, in alignment with the unit itself. I've seen better dehumidifiers but, at this price, I think it does an amazing job. Recommended.

Veagaso Dehumidifier is a Keeper!
I have been using this dehumidifier for a week and I am very pleased with this product. It is slightly smaller and lighter weight than my previous one, so it's easier to pick up or move around and it runs very quietly, and it arrives at the desired humidity quickly. Lastly, it is easy to operate. The only small improvement I would suggest is to have slight indentations on either side of the water tank to allow a quick grasp in order to pull it out. I registered my product and it allowed me to increase my warranty to 3 years and I would definitely recommend this product! By the way, the Veagaso customer support folks are very responsive and they sent me answers quickly to my additional questions so that is very reassuring should I have any issue in the future.

The Beast!
One of my better purchases on Amazon. I often end up with mediocre stuff, but this is legit. Not a cheap knockoff. It’s solid and heavy, in a good way, with a thick cord to handle the wattage. I live in California, so humidity isn’t a huge problem like other regions—but our house sits near a creek bed and we are near the coast. The upstairs is fine, but the downstair suites get damp and stay cool like a basement. Great for the summers, but not so much the rest of the year. Disposable hangers and boxes and smaller systems were too bothersome to keep up -and not doing enough so I bought this about 2 months ago. It is overkill for how I use it, but that’s what I wanted. It could cover the whole downstairs, but instead I shut it in one room or room/bath suite at a time. Within a few hours the room humidity drops from 72 to 52 and I drain a 3/4 to a full container each time. It is insane how much moisture is in the air. If using in a bathroom, I shut the toilet seat, sink drains, and cover the shower drain with a cloth. I open the closets and it draws the moisture from them. It’s meant for over a 1000 square feet so it works fast with these small spaces. I call it “the beast” because it just works so effectively. It’s quiet for me, especially when in another room. I can’t be in the room when it is on for very long because it sucks the moisture out of me. I can feel the change in the air when I breathe. I don’t know about the electric bill and don’t care, because it is fixing a problem. I don’t to keep buying and replacing disposables. I use it 3-4 hours every other day moving it from room to room. My suggestion is buy bigger than you need. That’s what I did. This way it works faster without struggling and you don’t need to run it 24/7. Hope this helps

Water collection tank is smaller than expected but it gets the job done
I needed another dehumidifier for my basement as humidity tends to make it smell musty in the summertime. I have a larger one already but I wasn't sure if it was pulling from the back bedroom so thought I would get a smaller one for that room. I did a lot of searching and decided on this one because it had a lot of good reviews. However, when it arrived and I looked it over, I was surprised at how small the water collecting tank was. 34 pints sounds a lot bigger in my mind than what the tank actually is apparently. I had to readjust my dehumidifier set up by taking the smaller one I had upstairs, with a decent sized water collection tank, down to the bedroom and putting this one upstairs where I could use the attachable hose instead. I started it up once I had the hose in the drain and I could see where all the positive reviews came from. It was easy to set up and program but the great thing is that it's a powerful little machine at removing moisture from the air! While it is quiet at the low fan setting, the sound is loud at the high one but not annoyingly so. I've only had it running for one day so I can't say how long it will last but I am impressed with it so far. I just wanted to write a review to let people know that if they get it with the expectation of relying on the water collection tank, while it will work just fine, it's going to require constant emptying throughout the day depending on the humidity level in your house. However, if you can use the hose to allow for continuous draining, this dehumidifier definitely gets the job done!

Great Value! Dehumidifier w/ Auto Defrost AND 3 Year Warranty!
I bought this 34 pint, 2500 Sq Ft. rated dehumidifier mainly to use in my garage and just started using it a couple of weeks ago. I have a raised ranch with a 2-car, attached (unheated) garage. We get quite a bit of snow here (especially this year) and the snow melt/water that drips from my SUV onto my vinyl garage flooring, significantly raises the humidity in the garage-which has caused excessive rust/corrosion of overhead door tracks, metal support posts, tools, etc. I bought this model specifically because it has the auto defrost feature -allowing it to still function in areas where the temps are lower -like my garage. I like that it comes with a drain hose that I can use if I ever decide to have it drain into my furnace condensate pump. I like that it's on wheels bc it saves my back from having to pick it up when I need to move it. The only time I don't care for the wheels (which don't lock), is when I'm trying to pull the collection tank out. The tank’s side grooves, where you’re supposed to grip it to slide it out aren’t very big, so that can sometimes be a pain- but it's not so bad that I'd consider it a huge negative. Compared to another, similarly sized dehumidifier I bought last year- this one is slightly louder when the fan is on the high setting. However, it doesn't bother me because I only run it in the garage and the unfinished area of the basement. When the unit is running on the high setting, my sound level meter registers it between 60 and 65 dBA (Although I’m not 100% sure how accurate the meter is..) If the unit had to be placed in our typical living areas, I would likely opt for something a little more quiet, but for my situation it’s perfectly fine. Pros: *compact, nice looking unit *wheels for easily moving it around *defrost feature-allowing it to still function in cooler areas (as low as 41°F), like in an attached garage *comes with optional drain hose *auto shut off when tank is full *comes with a 3 year warranty-which was quick and easy to register for. I just scanned a qr code which opened up an email where you just fill in your name, model #, etc.. I received a fast (next day) warranty confirmation response from the manufacturer. *digital display with easy to use controls Cons: (none of these are deal breaker -for me at least) *there isn't much in the way of a recess or grip for being able to grab the collection tank and slide it out when emptying it. *wheels don't have the ability to lock -at least that I saw. Not worried about it rolling away -because unit obviously needs to be on a level surface to function properly -but would be very handy when emptying the collection tank, to hold the unit in place as you need one hand on each side to pull it straight out. After chasing it around the garage a few times, I've come up with some creative (awkward) ways to pull the tank out when there's no one around to hold the unit still for me... *When the fan setting is on high, it's probably a little louder than most would prefer if located in a frequently occupied living area. *Manual that was included doesn’t clearly state what each of the three operation modes does- it only tells you which settings (fan speed, humidity level) can be adjusted depending on which mode you are in. (Modes: Dehumidification; Drying; Continuous) Not a huge deal- I just looked it up online to figure out the difference between each. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase as it seems to be a well-made dehumidifier and has all of the main options I was looking for, including the 3 year warranty. In hind sight, I probably would've ordered the next size up for my 2 car garage, just so I wouldn't have to run it for quite as long in the cooler months. **When operating at lower temps in the winter, it's normal for dehumidifiers to take longer to remove moisture from the air (thermodynamic principles...) I'd definitely recommend this dehumidifier, and would suggest considering a unit rated for a larger room- if you want to cut back on the amount of time it actually has to run.

The larger unit is the way to go.
Definitely upsize what you think you need. I had a Danby that served 12 years with no isssues. It eventually burnt out and wouldn't turn off. It was a sad day having to replace that since that brand apparently got bought by another company and no longer exists. I initially bought the smaller 2,000 sq ft model. It didn't dehumidify the basement as I had expected. I wasn't happy with its performance. The company saw my unhappy review and reached out 6 times via email but their messages didn't make it through the spam filter until the 7th. They were profusely apologetic and offered to make it right. I was upgraded to the 5,500 sq ft model. This one is vastly more powerful. Humidity levels have dropped 10 percent in the last few days. I am hopeful it will continue to the 35 percent I've got it set at. It's now nearly winter, the furnace is blowing hot air into the basement (which is finished with a concrete floor), and that should help dry the air further. It's pretty much the same test the original unit faced, only this one is performing much better than the smaller one. The units all feature lovely details..a helpful carrying handle for moving the units. And the sleek touch panel is a nice feature..as well as the lock feature that will keep people from accidentally changing settings. I'm excited to try the clothes drying feature to see how long to takes to dry fabrics that cant go in the clothes dryer. I do have two issues with this unit-I said I would review it fairly and I am...The power cord is far too short. It's not even 6ft. It barely reached the power outlet..and I'm seriously considering getting an appliance extension cord. I only needed an additional 2 ft for it to reach comfortably with some slack in the cord. So that's a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker. Also the outlet drain tubing is cheap plastic like the smaller model had. When I went to check on this unit after 2 days of running, I saw the humidity didn't drop very far, so I was going to check the drain hose to make sure it wasn't clogged--and it snapped off at the outlet port. I'm guessing that supplier of plastic tubing ran a batch of poor quality. But the upside is this unit has an outside ring around that port that will allow you to connect a garden hose like the 'heavy duty' dehumidifiers do. So I put a garden hose onto the ring, cut it to length to run to the sump and problem was solved. And I prefer the larger diameter of the garden hose over the included tube-type as its sturdier and has a larger diameter for better flow. Overall the buying experience was what made me give them 5 stars. The CS team went above and beyond to try to contact me, and sent a replacement unit immediately. The customer service for this company deserves 10-stars! I do like the upgraded unit much better than the smaller one I bought, despite the minor quirks of short power cord and plastic drain tube. I would say as a consumer, choose the largest unit they offer because I think it offers the best dehumidifying. I think overall these units have a very nice, well thought out design. They're very user friendly and easy to operate. I would just advise to choose a much larger size than you think you'd need. The company itself takes pride in their products and work to make customers happy, which is rare these days. They stand behind their products and offer support that most other companies do not. The whole buying experience with them is 10-stars. I'd definitely recommend buying from them.

Florida Humidity Approved, Honest Deatiled Review
Video notes: Shows my settings, 1/2 gallon of milk for size reference, and then noise level up close, and then ~10 ft away (very quiet). This is the first dehumidifier I've ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I read a ton of reviews for many different kinds before choosing this one, and I think it is just amazing. My house is a 1500 sqft condo in northeast FL. It is VERY humid here. Mold and moldew grow like crazy. I got this bad boy 2 months ago, got it set up, and also got a humidity guage to put on the other side of my house to monitor the effectiveness. When I first started the dehumidifier, it measured 90% humidity! Within a day or 2, it was down to 55-60%... I was floored. I've left it on continuous mode, on high ever since got it, and I empty it about 3-4 times a day, every day. I have not had a single issue or complaint whatsoever (knock on wood). The guage at the other end of the house is usually 5% higher than the dehumidifier reads. AC and Electric Bill Savings: Since running it, I have saved about $50 a month on electricity (AC). At first, keeping my AC habits the same (set at 72 F every day), I noticed the place felt much cooler, by about 2 degrees, and I had to start putting the AC up to 74 F or 76 F because it was too cold. Need 1 or 2?: It handles my 1500 sqft just fine, but in all honesty because it is FL I could probably use another one. In any other less humid area, I don't think having 2 would be necessary for this size house. Hang Drying Clothes: I also put my hang dry clothes next to it, and they dry much faster with no smell. Usually hang drying stuff takes so long because of the humidity and it ends up getting musty. So this has been a huge benefit! No need to re-wash my hang dries anymore. And if I have any pain in my @$$ "hand wash only lay flat to dry" articles of clothing, I lay it next to the dehumidifier and it works over night. Noise: I don't notice it adding any extra noise that's bothersome. It's definitely quieter than the AC unit. In the video, I walk away from it 10ft to give you an idea, because up close it sounds so loud (much louder in the video than in person). It's probably equivalent to having a very small, efficient fan on or a small air purifier. Overall Im very pleased with this purchase and definitely would recommend for a smaller apartment/condo!
