3M Super Strength Molding Tape, 03615, 7/8 in x 5 ft

Excellent product for attaching anything to any surface without having to drill holes. Holds securely and yet easy enough to remove without damaging the surface.

This works great for loose body parts. Tip be very careful as you use the tape on the trim. It sticks quickly also after repair let it cure awhile .

Its been a few months since the car was painted. I removed the emblems myself for fear that the body shop might break them and they are no longer available. A week after being painted, the emblems were reinstalled using the Scotch Molding Tape. The tape was applied to the back of the cleaned emblems, then an exacto knife was used to cut out the tape between the letters (Firebird). It took some time, but now the tape is only behind the letters with no exposed tape. Then the back is pealed off, and pressed in place on the car. The tape is holding solid. Even after sitting it rain, the tape is not letting go. Well worth the price of the tape. Will buy again to use on other outdoor items like house numbers, mailbox numbers where things will get wet.

Works good, a little hard to trim.

I had a piece of molding coming off of my car. I went to a body shop and they wanted $180 to take the molding off and use this same tape to hold the molding in place. I cleaned up the molding and placed the tape on myself. I saved $172. It was very sticky and is still doing the job after four months. of heat and rain. This tape works very well and I only needed about a foot for my repair work. It was easy to use and easy to trim for my project. I would recommend this molding tape for anyone wanting a really good double sided tape that does not want their project to move again. Well worth the investment.

I'm old school I guess because I wanted the gray tape. I've already tried the heavy duty 3M-Scotch, 3M, Gorilla, and they all held up until really hot days. I'm mounting a hitch cam monitor on truck dash. Ive always used the 3M gray auto trim tape. But it seems they just make all black now. This type claimed "hi heat,exterior auto trim ect. I needed something. Long story short, This did the trick!! We've had some triple digit Temps and it's holding as good as 1st day!! Definitely buying this from now on.

I used this to hold a front lip (carbon fiber) on my car. Even though the car was held on my 3 bolts, the tape worked great. How do I know it wasn't just the bolts? After I took off the bolts, I had a hard time removing the tape. I scraped a couple of times too, so I know that it should've at least made the tape weaker over time. Great molding tape for multi-use.

This 3M tape is fantastic! Little hard to get the paper off the 2nd sticky side but worth it. I used it to hold a replacement hood vent on my Polaris Slingshot. That vent won't come off in 50 years!

Apparently this double-sided tape was designed for adhering moldings and other trim to the interior and exterior of motor vehicles. It works very well for that purpose and for countless other applications that need very strong adhesion. I used it to adhere some exterior trim to my car, to stabilize the ends of a front air deflector on the hood of my minivan, and for several other household applications. Once this tape has been put in place and the surfaces pressed together of a few seconds, it will not come off under normal conditions, However, if you do need to remove it, you can heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer and then peel it off. One thing to keep in mind is that like all adhesive products, surfaces to be adhered must be clean and dry, and for this tape the surfaces should be no colder than 10-15 °C. All in all, this is an excellent product.

I have been using this tape for just about everything that needs a strong double sided tape. The bond is incredible and works well even outdoors through the summer and winters. For example I have used this to fasten outdoor surveillance cameras to my soffits and it has held for over a year in various weather conditions. Definitely grab some of this if you need to attach something but don't want to screw it in. Keep in mind that it has a bit of a thickness to it, maybe 1mm.

I tired lots of double sided tapes but none of them are as good as this 3M. It’s super easy to apply but for any tape to work good, you need a really clean surface, I use alcohol to clean and then wait for it to dry. Also it works best in warm temperatures, it looses its stickiness when it’s super cold. Also it’s not easy to remove, so make sure you are happy with the position before applying. It’s kind of expensive for what you get but you pay for quality. I wish the role was bigger.
