SYS Passive Preamp Volume Control and 2-Input Switch (Black)

I use this to switch between bookshelf speakers powered by a Marantz 1060 integrated receiver, and floor speakers powered by a separate power amp, with the Marantz as the preamp. This makes it impossible to run both speakers at the same time, which would damage my equipment. It's a little pricey comparatively, but not really, because it's very well made and will obviously last as long as my other high quality equipment. It looks good and feels solid, and there is no noise or interference at all...like it should be.

車のオーディオに使用してます 純正や社外品のオーディオ（ヘッドユニット）を使用せずに、ストリーミングオーディオやネットフリックスの音声をアクティブクロスオーバーネットワーク、パワーアンプを経由し、スピーカーから出力するために、アッテネーター兼セレクターとして購入しました。 確かにいわゆるプリアンプ的な存在ではありますが、電源レスで1ミリも信号の増幅をしていないのにパッシブという名をつけたところでアンプを名乗っていいのか甚だ疑問ですが、 こまけーことを言うタイプの人はたぶん買わない商品なので言いません（言ってる）。 アメリカよりDHLで届いたので、為替や送料の影響はあるにせよ、価格に対してもう少し質感が欲しいところです。

Works perfect. Made in the USA. I only say that because I've already had a couple of these from cheap companies and they didn't work and the quality was for crap. If you want to buy quality electronics like this such as RCA splitters and selectors and all kinds of stuff, you should definitely take a close look at this company because it's actually quality products. The Schiit SYS is admittedly a little pricey for what it is, and it doesn't pretend to be anything more than that - a simple A/B switch for two audio sources to go into a single stereo RCA output, to be connected to your power amp or powered speakers. Yes, you can get a small plastic switch with a thin aluminum enclosure that does the exact same thing for under $20 (and that's what I had before I upgrade to this). However, the build quality and tolerance on this thing is really good. I have no doubt that after 5 or 10 years this will still be as good as it was the day I bought it. The switch button itself feels good to press (although there is some wobble) and the volume dial potentiometer is well damped and feels good to turn. And if you have other Schiit devices they look good stacked. This is still just a switch at the end of the day, but it's a well-built one that I would be happy to use on a daily basis. :-)
