Review: Absolutely worth it! - I hated the two month wait on this because I have most of the big stuff completed before I got this and anything I needed help with I got online. BUT that is truly the only complaint I have for this wonderful guide! My hardback copy came in perfect condition; no dents in cover or bent pages. The content of this book is accurate from what I can tell (I've been pouring over it for 2 days now) and they really do a great job of giving you all the details in how to find/do a quest in as straightforward as one can expect from such a huge and complex game. What really helps is the copious use of the map coordinates to help me find exactly and precisely what I'm looking for in game. There are clear and concise map keys and everything is easily labeled so you won't get lost hopping between pages to match what you're looking for. One of the main complaints I heard the most was the the picture quality was horrible and, for me personally, I find that this couldn't be further from the truth. Yes I did find a couple pretty dark pics of some of the monsters that look like they copied them straight out of the game but I could still easily differentiate between them and the others they were comparing them to. I found that all of the pictures have a very sharp enhanced look to them which I loved because you can see every little detail despite the pictures being so small. Another compliment I heard was about the lack of a pull out map poster for the game and to that I say I'm not really sure how they would do that with this game. BOTW's map had 2 sides to the same map illustrating 2 different completion objectives (shrines and towers on one and all Korok seeds on the other). They would have had to have given 2-3 maps to be able to cover all 3 sections of the map ie, sky, land and the depths. While I miss the poster and hope they include one in the next guide with a dlc explanation the atlas they provided in the back will work well for me. This book covers anything and everything you could hope for in a game guide book! I'm also very grateful that there is still a company out there that is still willing to make and publish a guide book for games. It's great that I can go online for somethings but usually I have to sit through 20mins of a 30-45min video just to see the 1 thing I need to find out to got forward in game. I just love knowing this book is right there beside me, ready to be picked up at a moments notice and with a quick scan I can see what I'm missing. A book like this would have been REALLY helpful for Pokemon Arceus and Snap, but I digress. I truly hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I have! Review: Very Good Strategy Guide! - Very thorough and helpful guide. Plenty of references, and a solid table of contents to help find what you're looking for. The cover is an amazing work of art too! Worth every penny!

A Great Tool
I preordered the collector's edition when it was first available, and the guide was received on the day of its release. So glad I did not hesitate with the preorder. I have Piggyback's collector's edition for Breath of the Wild, so I had high expectations for this edition- it did not disappoint. The cover is beautifully textured, strong, and durable. The binding is well-constructed, and the pictures do not disappoint. The pictures are detailed, vivid in saturation, and clear. The book beautifully lays out all towns, stables, shrines, enemy locations, side quests, shrine quests, and of course, a walk-through of the main storyline, if you so choose to use. There is a directory for wells, bubblegems and caves, materials, all weapons, cooking, armor, and enemies. Each section contains a detailed map of the area using a grid system. My only arbitrary comment is that the text is a bit small, but when one considers the vast content of the game it is understandable that a company would decrease the size of the font to accommodate the wealth of information needed for publishing. Still, it is sometimes a strain on the eyes. I had hoped for a section about weapon types using the fuse ability. In other words, what fusion makes for the best weapons. I do not see this guide. What I do like is the weapon trait guide found on page 423. No separate map is included in this edition, and in the publisher's defense, no map was stated in the product's description. Piggyback's collector's edition for Breath of the Wild did include a separate map, but to be honest, it was cumbersome to have the map out to find korak seeds and enemy locations while gaming. Most helpful to me is the use of a phone app in the search for korak seeds. For my experience, I decided to slowly explore each area and have not progressed further than the first temple. So playing forward, this book will be an invaluable tool. As a result, it is my opinion that this book earns a 5 star review. No, it does not have a separate map, nor a section for fusable weapons, but with this said, these are minor in comparison to the other topics of information that is included. Happy gaming!

Navigating Hyrule with a Side of Sass! 🗺️🌄
Hold onto your Master Swords, folks, because I've just embarked on a journey through "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" with the hardcover guide, and let me tell you, it's like having a wise sage whispering epic secrets in your ear – with a touch of cheeky humor! From the moment I cracked open this guide, I knew I was in for a treat. It's like the guidebook of my dreams met a stand-up comedian at a tavern and decided to team up for the adventure of a lifetime. The tips are as sharp as a Hylian blade and delivered with a wink that would make Tingle proud. The walkthroughs are like a treasure hunt led by a mischievous fairy. Step-by-step instructions? Check. Maps and strategies? Double check. Hilarious anecdotes that make you snort your potion? Absolutely! I swear, I heard Navi's faint laughter every time I uncovered a quirky commentary on the page. The secrets and side quests section is a goldmine of entertainment. It's like the guide's authors are saying, "Sure, you could just save Hyrule, but wouldn't you rather impress chickens, find rare ingredients, and discover hidden shrines along the way?" Honestly, I'd follow this guide to the ends of the earth just to see what kind of crazy quests it would send me on next. Let's talk artwork. The illustrations are so stunning, they practically transported me into the game. I half-expected a Korok to pop out of the pages and hand me a seed. And the character profiles? They're like mini biographies penned by the denizens of Hyrule themselves. I can almost hear Link saying, "Yup," with that stoic expression of his. In summary, "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" hardcover guide is more than just a companion for your gaming journey – it's an experience. It's like having a sassy bard serenading you with epic tales, reminding you that while saving the kingdom is important, a good laugh and a well-timed "Well, excuuuuse me, Princess!" are equally vital. So grab your guide, grab your controller, and prepare to embark on a quest that's as humorous as it is heroic! 🗺️🏹🎮

Beautifully accurate and helpful
This book is phenomenal! 2.5 years later and my kids and I still reference it. The facts are spot on and the artwork is beautifully accurate. It’s very helpful in keeping the game alive and engaging. The cover and spine are even pleasing to the eye, so it’s nice to see sitting on the shelf.

Complicated book for a complicated world
This guide is very good and has every bit of info I could ever want. The only reason why I've taken off a star is that some explanations are either a little vague or a little too wordy. In this game recipes and cooking are complicated. This books explanation left me unsure so I had to go to the internet for a more detailed explanation I could fully understand. The walk through part of the book is very good. It has pictures that help to explain written instruction that I've found very helpful. This is an open world game and there's a number of things you can be doing at any given moment. This is a very helpful tool to keep you on track. When you are given 5 things to do, this guide will tell you the order of objectives that best makes sense. The book itself is hardcover, super thick and heavy. I'd thought about taking a star off for the small text, but I think if they'd made the text and larger, the book would be so thick that it would be harder to bind.

A Love Letter To Fans
The critiques on the book having the same content whether it's paperback or hardcover are valid. The hardcover version is just so darn nice. The two ribbons included are a very nice touch and make the guide appear just that much more elegant sitting on a coffee table. As for the content, I can't recommend this guide enough. I played through Tears of the Kingdom at launch and hit a difficulty curve that was not very appealing and thus made me stop playing, similar to me trying Breath of the Wild before getting the guide. After getting this guide, I bravely started a new game (and forfeit the 20+ hour save game that I had previously), and I have not looked back since. The singular section which makes the book worthwhile in my opinion is the "Companion" portion of the guide, where each "beat" of the main story is dedicated to 1-2 page spreads highlighting Important Places, Quests you should should have your eye on and tackle at that part of your adventure, tips and tricks for various elements of the game that you will probably have encountered at that stage.. and most importantly, the target levels for your hearts, stamina, and gear level. The difficulty curve I hit when I first played the game blind was because Link was not leveled up half as high as he should have been.. I was hitting the main campaign too hard and not venturing off on as many side quests or unlocking more shrines to be prepared for the enemies I was encountering. This Companion section of the guide eases you into each section with minimal spoilers at all, advises you how many shrines you should tackle, but doesn't tell you which ones.. how many hearts you should have.. what your stamina should be - before you move on.. It acts as a "guide" (shocker!) and not an "answer key" -- and I love that. The writers encourage you from the first page to play the game the way you want to play it and only turn to the guide pages when you need them - it's the rewarding part of playing a game like BOTW and TOTK, and they embrace that. Well done to all involved. A beautiful treasure which compliments an incredible sequel.

Good buy for folks new to Zelda
As a gaming newbie, with TotK being her 1st intro to the Zelda franchise, I enjoyed this book. I like playing Zelda, & especially enjoy the freedom of open-world exploration. However, we newbies often face a handicap of initially learning the controls as well the best places to explore. This book fills the gap, & increased my enjoyment of the game. I bought the hardcover edition. The cover design is beautiful & the page quality is also good. I like that it's chock full of pictures & tables - a visual & an analytical treat. It could even double up as a (very heavy) coffee table book. I like it. 5 stars from me.
