Works great; needs a removal tab
The Amazon review page asks for a statement as to why I rated this product so well. Really? I mean, it's a felt pad, not a cell phone - how many features can I evaluate? Having said that, the sticky side sticks very well right where you stick it and the cushion stays put for years (which is good, but be aware that you only get one chance to place it correctly) and the felt side is appropriately wide and cushy. For me, at least, these pads make the shoe fit better in front, which causes my heel to fit a little further back and sit in the heel of the shoe the way it is supposed to. Heel pads may make the heel stop slipping, but they do not improve the fit of the shoe as a whole, whereas these do. They seem to be especially helpful in men's dress shoes. (N.B.: I've only used these with men's tie shoes, not loafers, slip-ons or women's shoes). The manufacturer could make it a little easier to get the paper covering off the sticky side; that's a pain. Take a cue from Band-Aid, already. But the product still gets 5 stars because it works so well.

Difficult to get the paper off
These work great for me as I have a very narrow foot and it tends to slide forward. The tongue pad prevents that from happening but I do have to replace them over time as they get flattened. My one gripe is that it is almost impossible to get the paper off the sticky part. Other items I buy have a slit on the back for unsealing or a paper overlap in one area. It would make it so much easier to put these in a shoe.

This pad stays where you put it!
Everyone with an all over thin foot/heel should know about these pads. A tongue pad will secure your foot at the heel for a better fit and more overall comfort and stability. I have a long thin foot with the heel of a four year old! I can only wear sneakers now, and with the help of this great adhesive tongue pad, I can wear the best looking lace up shoes. I like this brand as the sticky is bold and works!

Perfect fit
So far they are perfect. I bought these in a size medium. I am in between two sizes of a pair Franco Sarto loafers I purchased (size 5 1/2 was too small…my toes hit the tip of the shoes..and the 6 was too big…the back of my foot slipped out). After a little research shoe tongue pads were recommended. These are thick enough to keep my new shoes on my feet but not so thick that the shoes are uncomfortable. I tried them out before peeling the brown backing paper off. There are no instructions but the picture on this page shows how to install them.

Sticky Pads
These pads are made to stick to the inside top of the shoe to prevent the foot from sliding forward. I found that I have to be very careful putting my foot in the shoe, or they will come off and stick to my sock. The idea is good, but there needs to be better adhesion to the shoe. I am using these with a pair of Skechers that have stretched out and they work fine when they are not coming off the shoes.

A waste of my monies. Did it remove paper easily as described
Ga e it a one star as it proved impossible for me na friend to remove the paper to expose the sticky side so we could attach to shoes. All it did when we tried to remove paper it also removed the sticky side n left the padding. Really disappointing product.

Perfect
I ordered the "small" as the shoe's had a narrorw tongue. The pads fit perfectly. I have the "large" size in another pair of shoes, I thought the small would be a better fit & they were. If you measure or just look at the tongue of your shoe, you will be able to pick the right size. I am very happy with the fit & comfort the pads provide. I have a narrow foot, most shoes are a bit wide & loose. The pads are the answer.

A Bit Smaller Than Expected ... Would Order a Size Up and Trim ...
I wear a size 7 or 7 1/2 running shoe, but I tie them very tightly. I was surprised that my new Hoka One One shoes did not have a padded tongue and ordered "Felt Tongue Pads Cushion for Shoes, Size Medium - Breathable Cotton". Based on the description, I thought the medium size would be sufficient. While the pads work well, they did not cover the entire tongue. In the future, I will order the large size and cut them to fit the way I desire.
