Nice product. Looks very nice installed. Worth buying a valance as well.
Liked the weight of the curtain. Looks great installed with the valance and fits perfectly due to the advice to buy shorter if installing the valance. Yes the handles are a bit short, but we wonโt get much use from ours in Florida. We just needed something for the odd times we will use the fire. Be careful with your drill. We burnt ours out installing it.

Hard Installation
Overall this unit is nice and functional. However install was difficult. I needed to buy a 4.5in masonry bit to properly drill a big enough hole. The provided masonry screws broke twice as I was screwing them in, the heads broke off. I ended up using screws with a molly and drilled a bigger hole. The other issue I had was that the poles that the screen holds onto were too long to get in, my fireplace didnโt have clearance once it was mounted. So I had to cut about 4in off each rod. Then I could angle them in properly. Paired with this companies mesh screen minus 2in. We will see how it holds up. The instructions mentioned 2 top holes and it came with 4 screws but there was only one pre drilled hole to use so...

Looks Great
Rather hard to install yourself. Doesnt come with screw anchors or spacers. but does its job well and looks pretty nice. Top panel is in 3 seperate parts to allow for expansion, so it is not a completely flush panel.

Good quality but does not fit 30 inch opening
This is a sturdily built kit but we encountered two problems. The listing implied it would fit 30+ inch fireplace openings. The valance itself does barely fit the opening but it was a challenge to get the screws into the bricks just because the fit was so tight. The bigger problem is that the rods that the screens slide on are so long that they could not fit into the slots at the middle because of the angle. We used a hacksaw to cut down the rods but it was a good bit more work. The second issue is that the instruction illustrations are tiny and don't show what you are really supposed to do to get the curved end of the rods to mount into the clips at either end of the valence.
