Perfect for My Son in College – Practical and Versatile!
I bought the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for my son, and he absolutely loves it as a college student! The convertible design is a game-changer—he can switch between laptop and tablet modes effortlessly, which makes it great for taking notes in class or streaming lectures in bed. The 14" IPS touch display is crisp and vibrant, perfect for both study sessions and downtime Netflix marathons. The Intel Core i3 processor and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM handle all his needs, from writing essays to running multiple tabs for research, without any lag. It’s lightweight and portable, so it fits easily in his backpack and doesn’t weigh him down on campus. Battery life is impressive too—it lasts through most of his classes and a library session before needing a charge. If I had to nitpick, storage could be a bit more generous, but with cloud solutions, it’s manageable. For the price, this laptop is a fantastic value and a great tool for any student.

Amazing Convertible Device
I needed a tablet with a large screen. I did not want a dedicated tablet as they require a keyboard and stand for any real work. Instead of spending $1400 on a large fruit tablet I found this for $400. It comes with all the basics, a vibrant screen with 14” of area. 8GB of RAM 128GB NVME SSD and an Intel 8 core processor with UHD graphics. What I love about the Aspire Spin 3 is the build quality. The keyboard has good feedback. The trackpad is usable! The built in speakers are okay in a pinch but there is Bluetooth to hook up a wireless speaker for presentations or a headset. I ended up uninstalling some bloateare but it was minimal. There are two full sized USB-A high speed ports for memory sticks, hard drives or whatever you want to use. There is also a Dual mode USB-C port that can output video, charge the battery, or transfer data. The HDMI port is 2.1. The WiFi is the AX101 from Intel and it does a fantastic job with my WiFi 6 router. I thought the RAM capacity would be limiting but with the ultra fast NVME SSD I have not run into any issues. It plays 4K YouTube videos flawlessly. As first there was some backlight bleed but after handling the device for a few test scenarios it has gone away. It does not get super bright so outside direct sun should be avoided unless you invest in an anti glare screen coating. Windows 11 came in S mode and it was easy to disable in the Microsoft Store. Now I can install apps from the internet like Firefox , Chrome and whatever I need like my hardware monitoring tools. This is a steal and fantastic value for the money. Next step is to install Steam and Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

Good laptop
Been using this laptop for a while now, lasts a reasonably long time. I like that it's a 2-1 laptop, I'm able to write on PDFs. The only downside is that it's Windows 11 S-Mode which means you cannot download Google Chrome or other browsers, you're stick with Edge which is a bit of bummer if you're a student and certain courses require using another browser. Recommend sticking to S-Mode for efficient use if possible.

5 Stars, You CAN Turn S-Mode Very Easily, Very Flexible
-I bought 2 of these and I love them both. I have not had any of the issues mentioned by the few others who have had issues. Both of mine have been in perfect use for well over a year. Start-up fine, charge fine, run fine, fast start-up... no issues at all. -S-mode. Someone mentioned it was impossible to get this out of S-mode. That's incorrect. If only 1 person has this complaint and nobody else does then.. guess where the problem is. Most Win 11 PC's have S-mode enabled on start-up. -Getting out of S-mode is easy enough, you just have to know you cannot do it on the PC itself. Simply go to the Microsoft Store page, to disable S mode, AND enable installing apps from outside the Microsoft Store. I have multiple PCs on Win 11 and it works fine. -Other benefits: touch screen is awesome, being able to open the laptop 180degrees is impressive and allows incredible flexibility. -The other nice part is, the cost is excellent. One side note - don't expect to do any heavy gaming. I think you know that though :)

A great spin to a laptop!
I love the Acer brand. This laptop is great. The mouse stopped working in about a year but I just use a USB mouse or the touch screen feature. This model is much sturdier than a previous spin model I had that broke apart when I flipped it I to tablet mode. I will definitely recommend this as a purchase. The sound quality is good enough for me as I use it right watch videos and movies.

Charging/Battery Issues within a year.
I don't write a lot of customer reviews, but people need to know what they're getting here. This PC worked ok, on the level that you'd expect for the price, for several months. Then suddenly it began having issues with charging, and then it just completely died, and will no longer turn on, as of this week. I tried all of the things that I can do at my end, battery reset, pulled the battery out to test, etc, but no luck. It's a door stop now. Rather than pour more money into a paid repair, I'm simply going to spend a bit more on a better brand laptop to replace it.
