Not the book; a recorded SEMINAR
Firstly, this is not the type of recording that you'll need if you've already reconciled with your dad, your past, and forgiven it all. The big finalé is you get to forgive your earthly dad and accept God's leadership as Father. Great basic teaching for evangelical Christians and those just beginning thier journey toward intimacy with God the Father through Christ, but not a useful tool when you're past all of these stages. This recording is NOT the book; it is recorded in sessions from a retreat or seminar and sometimes goes off script and is more of an exhortation. It also shares tons of anecdotal stories involving the speaker's personal relationship with his dad to ease the listener into his next prescribed perceptions of God, and this guy uses like a million metaphorical pillows to ensure even the most sensitive wounds don't get triggered. So again, we're assuming you're still in "can't get over the father wounds" stage still. Final analysis, great for beginner Christians who need to get a good perception of our Heavenly Father and struggle toward actual intimacy with God, but if you're past all of that and just looking for a guide on getting more deeply intimate with God through Christ then I would recommend you keep looking.
