Pebeo 521900 500 ml Heavy Modeling Paste, White

This is very good - I had some modelling paste before but it was a bit gloopy and took forever to dry - and no sooner had you made an indentation in the paste that it would fill up again - this paste is nice and thick and doesn't move around once you have put it somewhere. I have bought it again, in fact - which is a recommendation in itself.

I like the thick consistency and reliable texture this paste creates on my canvases. I would recommend.

I have been using it to smooth out the texture on canvas using an old store card for application. The product is very thick and would also work well for building up lots of texture and holds peaks and marks without levelling out at all. If your planning on building up lots of really thick texture you may be better off using a 'light modelling paste' to reduce weight. The colour is also slightly off white more cream in colour, so will require painting over if you need a white ground. I will buy it again

Great for adding texture or smoothing out defects.

I use this for adding a basing paste to miniature figures / dioramas and it is perfect for that. It is easily tinted with a small amount of acrylic paint and dries fast. Most of my stuff is touch dry in under two hours, though I leave it for a day before going back to hit. It holds its form and peaks as it dries.

As a professional artist I use various brands of paints and mediums etc. This is the first time I have used Pebeo Heavy Modelling Paste and it is very good indeed. Mixing it with acrylic paint for impasto effect is very effective . Probably the best I’ve used and definitely value for money over other brands. Highly recommend this product!
