Zoo Med WC-2 Repti-Sand, 4.5 Kg, Desert White

My Syrian hamster loves this for digging in her sand bath! It’s fine but not dusty and is a soft white desert sand colour and contains no calcium. Only downside is that it picks up odours quickly, and if the bath also gets used as a toilet it becomes very smelly compared to regular wood shaving substrate and is harder to clean as any clumps break up easily. However when only used as a bath her fur is lovely and clean, and so soft. So am currently only putting in for play in evenings and removing when unattended, which works fine as she loves digging in it so much but doesn’t get too many chances to use it for toileting. The bag’s also great value for money. I’d never be without a sand bath for my hammy now!

I use this sand for my hamsters bath. It is perfect - pure sand with no additives and no dust whatsoever. This bag last me almost a year (for a roborovski) so it is definitely worth getting and good value for the price. I would say that this sand is better than a lot of sands sold for hamsters specifically.

I use this in my gerbil’s sand bath and she loves it. The sand is super soft and looks nice. It’s easy to clean with a sieve and it doesn’t smell bad like some other sands do.

Good quality sand not like other Sands I have tried in the past which all seem too dusty for hamsters. This stuff is good value.

Good product I used for mt hamsters sand bath

I use this sand for my hamster's sand bath - it's safe due to being uncoloured with no added calcium, and looks great in my hamster's natural-themed enclosure. The bag is a decent size and very easy to pour into a container. Overall good value for money, I recommend for hamster owners looking for a safe sand

About to buy my second bag. Wanted to give my syrian hamster a sand bath to dig in to replicate their natural behaviour and allow her to keep her fur clean. I tried a “sand” supposedly for hamsters first but it was so dusty that I took the sand tub out straight away as it’s dangerous for their delicate little respiratory systems! Did more research and decided to give this one a try. It isn’t cheap, but I don’t regret buying it. It’s lasted me a good length of time. If your hamster doesn’t pee in their sand it would last you much longer but my girl likes to use her sand bath as a potty now, which makes cage cleaning much easier but does mean I go through a lot of sand! I’m disabled so sterilizing play sand isn’t an easy option for me even though it would be much cheaper. Wish this one was a bit cheaper but it’s the best option for me so will be sticking to it for the forseeable future.

Bought for our little robo hamster to make an area of his enclosure completley sand. He absolutely loves it and it's safer than hamster sand you can buy which is actually clay based.

This is the softest sand I think I've seen. I actually use this as a sand bath for my hamster form time to time, it's great for this purpose as it isn't dusty at all (harms their lungs) and is super soft for their skin and fur. Quite expensive compared to $5 huge bag of play sand from home depot I also use for my hamster, but that one must be sifted and baked for a bit to make sure there's no germs in there, so when I get lazy I will just pour some of this already perfect sand. More expensive, but it's totally justified
