The Lee Precision Electric Metal Melter has all the great features of the Pro 20 pot, plus a generous 4 inches of clearance under the spout to accept all brands of bullet molds and most sinker molds. It also includes an adjustable mold guide to quickly and accurately position any mold for pouring. Review: Very good. It works pretty good. Hold lots of lead which I think is important when casting big bullets. It heats up quickly. It is very sturdy and the spout is tight and the lead flows well through it. I feel safe using it. I have the small pot but always adding cold lead to keep it full. Drops the temp all the time and get wrinkly bullets. I am going to get a lead thermometer to keep an eye on the temp because I think it gets away from me. The numbers on the dial really don’t help fine tuning but the thermometer will help correlate.

I am using this to make a literal ton of lead sinkers. Works great once you learn to work with the spigot. Need to have a metal pick available to keep it clear of debris. Love it. Update after a couple months of use. Still great, spigot will eventually clog and can’t be cleared with pick. Need to empty pot of lead and remove spigot plunger and use drill with slightly larger diameter and drill through spigot hole. Works better than ever. I now have three and will order another for backup.

I use this for lead free pewter, and it is great. Dross comes to the top, and clean pewter flows out the bottom. I reload, but don't cast. After using this melter, I can see it would be great for casting hundreds of rounds at a time. If I ever get the urge to cast, I'll buy a second one of these without hesitation. That way I don't contaminate my lead free pewter, and don't have to worry about adjusting heat or flow levels between materials. Also, I'm considering removing the base and mounting it to allow for larger molds to be used. If you are on the fence between this and a cheaper option, go for this. It really does a great job and allows for greater control of pouring metal than a ladle.
