Great quality and price, it has a regular light as well as UV light, which it excellent for identifying gemstones. It has a handy measure aswell and comes with its own plastic/fabric black case with velcro fastener and charging USB lead. Definitely recommend!

Helps looking closely for stamp defects etc and makes your photos for selling look so much better the glass

As an illuminated magnifier it is very good and is sturdy and effective. It does not take long to charge. However, the UV leds do not illuminate watermarks on stamps if that is of interest to you. (Neither do the ordinary leds.)

As a document examiner, this has been one of the best magnifiers I’ve used. Has a scale so you can measure and UV light to see extra details!

Upside: Solidly built, glass optics. Lighting OK. Downsides: 1) Place it on a surface, the image is out of focus. I had to add a 5mm spacer underneath to fix this. Variable focus might help but this is just not good enough. 2) 30x magnification? In someone's dreams. My old 'passive' (no lighting) 10x magnifier is almost as good.
