The owner of a five-star hotel, Mrs Dubrow (Faye Dunaway), has discovered that a prestigious hotel guide-book is about to anonymously assess her hotel for its six-star rate. The hotel's manager had promised his two sons that they would go on a belated family holiday but is ordered by his boss to forget those plans and concentrate on making sure everything is perfect for the inspectors. Meanwhile Lord Rutledge (Rupert Everett), a jewel thief who uses an Orangutan called Dunston as his accomplice, has just checked in. When Dunston manages to get lost in the hotel and is befriended by the manager's ten-year-old son, Kyle, mayhem and chaos ensue. Besides English, it also has German, French, Italian, Spanish audio tracks. Optional English and various other language subtitles are available. The film itself is a bit of fun for the entire family. It's set in an American luxury hotel run by a single father whose two sons live there with him. Things get out of hand when the evil owner of the hotel (Faye Dunaway in a wonderfully OTT performance) puts in an appearance, putting her manager under pressure with the announcement that an important reviewer is anonymously visiting the hotel. At the same time a cunning jewel thief (Rupert Everett, also with an equally OTT performance) with his trained chimpanzee Dunston is residing at the hotel. Much confusion and hilarity ensues when the hotel manager's bored sons befriend the poor abused chimpanzee. There are plenty laughs in this enjoyable little film which should keep everybody entertained on a rainy afternoon.

A very lighted movie and it must have taken months for some of that scenes to be carried out,very funny.

Don't miss watching this
Top quality entertainment for the family . I watched years ago with my daughter which is now 28 so I bought for my 7 and 10 year old godchildren and they couldn't stop laughing as so good . They've watched several times .

Best children's and adult's film
This is priceless and a must for all kids. It is when Rupert Everett was unknown and before he crashed out - see what Piers Morgan thinks of him in Celebrity Apprentice. Anyway all characters are perfect in this film and I never mind watching it again.
