This helmet is surprisingly light for the price point. It’s very easy to adjust the straps properly for a comfortable fit around the ears and chin. The rear dial makes quick work of dialling in fit. Plenty of room out the back for a ponytail. Airflow and ventilation are sufficient that your head won’t melt while riding. The design and fit is such that it doesn’t look like a mushroom on your head. My only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that the front vent design seems to make it difficult to stash some of my sunglasses in the vent holes. Your experience may vary depending upon what glasses you own. Overall I’m very pleased with this helmet and highly recommend it. 5stars, it’s the best budget helmet that I’ve purchased in a decade.

I’d heard that it’s good to replace your helmet every 3-5 years - this Lazer Tonic had good reviews so I got one. First ride today; I like how light it is (old MIPS = 320g vs Tonic = 245g) so I could feel the nearly 3oz difference. It’s comfortable, I wear 7-1/4 cap or 59cm so I got a Medium; there’s no extra space in the fit so it’s just right! It was 85 degrees and the ventilation was noticeably better than my old helmet. The design doesn’t cut down on wind noise and at higher speeds there’s a slight whistle (maybe across the chin strap?) and I like the buckle because it’s simple and secure. Lazer also promises to “subsidize your cost of buying a replacement if you crash.” I recommend the Lazer Tonic and I hope that I won’t ever use their offer!

Fits comfortably, reasonably priced and looks good. Hopefully, I will never have to find out how effective it is. The marketing hype seems to suggest that it is about as effective as a reasonable bike helmet could be. If I get in a wreck and suffer brain damage, I'll come back and knock it down a star.

Found a review online that compared this helmet to others costing 2-4x as much and this was rated highly for safety. Very comfortable and light. For me top quality for a reasonable price.

I needed replace a crash damaged Giro helmet and came to this one by search th Virginia Tech website. The search criteria 5.0 rating. It is lighter, fits better and offers more ventilation, which will help during the Inland Empire (California) summers, than the helmet it replaced.

I think until this point, I've only ever used cheap big box store helmets. After getting into several accidents and then switching to an ebike (lol), I decided I ought to invest in better protection. This is currently the safest bike helmet under $100 per Virginia Tech's testing. It is more comfortable than any other bike helmet I have used and fits my large noggin quite well. Definitely an improvement in quality and design from what I'm used to.

Good fit. Comfortable and no mushroom head. One star deduction for fiddly chin strap and it could use a bit more padding. But that could be the shape of my head.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: A "great" helmet for the price. It is very well made, fits fantastic, and adjusts easily. It is also light weight and looks pretty darn good as well.
