As with all diaper pails, when you have to remove the bag, do it quickly because the smell is excruciating, but when closed I do not smell it at all and I have it pretty close to my bed. I also bought their anti smell pods or whatever they are called so maybe that helps, not sure. Beware if you have other kids, they’ll learn how to unlock it pretty fast.
