DHS Conditioning Rinse (8 oz)

Works well. Helped my scalp right away.

Perfect conditioner for fine, thin hair. Gets the tangles out and doesn't weigh it down or look greasy.

I use this in combination with the DHS Zinc Shampoo. I am using both to treat dry scalp/flakes as a result of using accutane (isotretinoin). I am so glad I did. The shampoo relieves my dry scalp, and this makes sure my hair and scalp are moisturized. It's a bit hard to spread through hair, so I just put it on top and wipe it on my hair and use some water to try and spread it. The only reason this gets 4 stars is because I don't like the smell... it's smells kinda like plastic...? But I don't care as long as it works. The smell doesn't last in your hair either.

I had to shop around a lot for conditioners because I have increasingly sensitive skin and I kept getting an itchy scalp from other brands. I like this one a lot. It is unscented, though it has it's own scent from the conditioning ingredients - it doesn't smell great coming out of the bottle, but I've never noticed any scent from it on my hair. I'm not crazy about the yellow color of it, but whatever because it doesn't make my scalp itch and my hair feels soft.

This rinse is one of several Person & Covy Products that I use and like alot. This 8 oz bottle has lasted me a good long time as a little goes a long way and it doesn't make my hair feel heavy or coated. No fragrance is a plus. I also like their DML moisturizing skin lotion and their Solbar Avo sun screen. The company makes top quality products. My dermatologist office carries all their products.

I've been using DHS shampoos for about 6 years now, and am very happy that they are fragrance free. As I suffer from migraines, any additional fragrances in products tend to make migraines linger, or new ones occurr. DHS shampoo is also PH neutral, and reduces any itchy skin due to psoriasis or eczema. Naturally, I thought since the shampoo was so awesome, that the conditioner would be as well. Not really. The rinse has a unpleasant chemical smell (think old melted plastic smell) - very much NOT fragrance free...smells like all the chemicals in the product. The rinse does help a little with detangling my hair, but not a lot, despite having fine thining hair. I also notice that my scalp feels a little more itchy when using this product. Sad disappointment.

I have three hair issues that make it almost impossible to find the right hair products that won't exacerbate at least one of them. First, sensitive skin - most shampoos and conditioners cause eczema. Second, very dry hair that needs moisturizing treatment. Third, thinning hair. DHS Condtioning Rinse is the closest I've come to a compromise between these three issues. It doesn't cause any irritation or allergic reaction. I use this together with the DHS Clear Shampoo. It moisturizes slightly while detangling. I rinse lightly to try to leave a bit in my hair, and this is sometimes enough to calm my extremely dry, fuzzy hair. Sometimes I still have to add another product while styling. Finally, this conditioner causes A LOT less hair loss than many others. Most of the conditioners I've tried leave me with a huge handful of hair in the shower - not great when my hair is already thin. With this one, I may lose a few strands now and then. I can't say it's thickening my hair, but at least it's not thinning it. The price is on a par with other fragrance-free products I've tried, and one bottle lasts me about 3 months.
