I should have bought this years ago....
This Ludex .22 Mag Speed Loader works excellent. I wish I would have found this years ago. It would have saved my fingers and a lot of loading time. Simply pour up to 50 shells in the reservoir and give it a few gentle shakes and place over the magazine. Done. Very fast. Now, some .22 shells are coated with a waxy type of lube. These will stick together and not slide into the magazine properly. The fix for this is a short shot of a TEFLON dry lube. A little shake to mix and coat the shells... Badda-Bing, fixed. Works like a charm.

Range efficiency enhanced
This was a gift for my dad and we immediately took it to the range to try it out. He was able to reload the magazines as fast as I was able to shoot them. No product is ever going to be perfect but this is as close as it gets. His main tip is to read the instructions that it comes with as it works quite well and is easy to use when the operator uses it correctly. It is a solid build and even though it’s larger than other speed loaders, it is well worth the space in the range bag.

Some smithing may be required
Great product but slightly problematic. The problem is Ruger's magazines have inconsistent openings. I had to very slightly file a few so they would accept rounds from the loader. After that no issues and saves so much time.

Just order it and see for yourself.
I’m very pleased with this loader. It seems to work amazing on the Ruger Mark/Standard series magazines but with the buckmark it does fail to load the last round more than it succeeds. Despite this though I find it very easy to use and would highly encourage anyone interested to give it a try. I like the fact that I can preload my magazines, then full the storage capacity of 50 more rounds back up and it can go to the range with me like that. Can’t beat for the cost.

Good concept, not reliable in function
I really wanted this to work so I could reload faster and get more shooting done, but it just doesnt perform reliably at all with my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 at all. I tried 8 different factory magazines [2 were brand new straighr from the package], as well as 3 brands of 22lr ammo [cci minimal, Remington target, and aguila super extra], and not a single one could load a magazine reliably. I started with the cci since it is considered the gold standard, but could not get more than 2-3 rounds to load before the speed loader got a jam. I did manage to get one magazine loaded with 8 rounds, but in the same time my wife hand loaded 5 magazines to capacity. The Remington and the aguila faired much worse, which is a shame since they are usually the stuff I get in bulk for plinking and the whole point of buying this loader, but it jams so frequently that you are better off hand loading, or moving to a loader that just pushes the button down. I would give it 2 stars because it does arrange all the ammo in a good row quickly as shown in the picture, and if the loading aspect worked this thing would save so much time...but since it is so unreliable to load any magazines [at least with a mark iv 22/45], that renders the whole thing pointless and a waste of money. If you have a mark iv 22/45, I highly recommend not getting this product as it simply does not work better than hand loading, and since the issue seems to be with dispensing the ammo and not the magazines, I have doubts that other models would work much better, especially when even the "gold standard" cci mini mag ammo had such difficulties.

Easy to use and fast.
I shoot competition and this is a safe and fast was to reload magazines between rounds.

Jammed the first time I tried to use it.
I loaded some test rounds into this mag loader, and the last round jammed so tightly that I had to completely disassemble it to remove the round. Due to the design, if a round gets pushed the wrong way, it will become stuck right at the ball bearing, with the rim of the cartridge getting jammed under the channel the rim is supposed to ride on. Not only that, it damaged the test round at the worst possible place. See photos. Other than that, it worked fine. I am assuming I need to adjust the screw that compresses the mag spring while loading (the User manual did mention this). If adjusting the screw helps, I will come back and increase the star rating. As of now, I am considering the issue a user error. Just be sure to check any case that gets stuck for damage to the rim before firing it.

.22 Magazine Speed Loader
Mixed review sometimes it works great sometimes not so great you have to shake it a lot to get ammo to move. Maybe my ammo is sticky and not moving freely
