Cheap, small and effective
I must admit, I thought video capture cards were expensive until I looked into it. Having recently purchased an iPad Pro M4, I wanted a way to be able to play my XBoX One and Switch games on it but streaming over WiFi can be very laggy. When I came across this adapter I decided it was worth trying for the price. I had to use a video capture programme on the iPad for it to work but there are a few available with demos including Orion, Capturino and Genki Studio. Once Iโd plugged the adapter in and hooked it up to my XBoX and Switch, then loaded up the software, I was surprised to see it on screen straight away. I did have a few issues where some applications didnโt show anything at first. I just took the adapter out, turned it over, and plugged it back in, then it seemed to work fine. The quality, especially if you upscale to 4K (which you can do in the full versions of the apps), is amazing on the OLED screen and itโs easy to then record your screen. There are a few similar devices on the market which I have yet to try but this does exactly what I needed. I have also tried with an iPhone and Android phone which work fine but I would really recommend using a tablet with a decent screen to really take advantage of it. One thing to bear in mind is that it will take up your usb-c slot but it did also work plugged into a usb hub which meant I could charge it at the same time. Overall, I canโt fault this for the price and it means I can still be playing in the same room as my wife while she watches her rom-coms so thatโs a win in my book.

Works Very Well and is very Affordable
I recently purchased the UGREEN Capture Card, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This device is a game-changer for anyone looking to stream or record high-quality video without breaking the bank. First and foremost, the price point is unbeatable. Compared to alternatives like the Elgato Cam Link, the UGREEN Capture Card offers similar functionality at a fraction of the cost. This makes it an excellent choice for budget-conscious creators who don't want to compromise on quality. The setup was incredibly straightforward. I had it up and running within minutes, and it worked seamlessly with my DSLR camera and gaming console. The video quality is superb, delivering crisp 1080p resolution without any noticeable lag or delay. Another standout feature is its versatility. It has always popped up as a camera option in whatever video conferencing platforms that I have tried i.e. zoom and what is also very great is the fact that you don't need external or extra software on your device so it is compatible. It is truly plug and play In summary, the UGREEN Capture Card is a fantastic investment for anyone in need of a reliable and affordable video capture solution. It delivers exceptional performance and versatility at a price that won't hurt your wallet. Highly recommended!

Works im VMix
Helpful little product - plug and play in windows 10 & 11. I used specifically in vmix to pull hdmi feeds in from other laptops. Works flawlessly without any other software or messing around. Gives standars multi colour output when no input signal is detected - helpful when using multiples.

Good value
Good value product from UGREEN. Plug and play with Windows, handy that it has USBC and normal USB. For the price can't fault it but 30hz might not meet some peoples expectations. It will appear like a webcam.

Does not send HDMI output from a laptop to the USB-C input on a docking station.
I needed a cable that would connect the HDMI output on a laptop to the USB-C input on a docking station, because the USB-C output on the laptop was reported as defective. After much searching I was advised by the seller that this would do what I wanted, enable me to connect the HDMI port on the laptop to the docking station, and then this would send video by HDMI to two monitors. Sadly it does not, when I plug the HDMI cable from the laptop into the adapter and then the adapter to the docking station nothing happens, despite the user guide supplied with the product saying that it would.

For Windows it is plug and play, so simple
For Windows 10, plug it in, plug in the source HDMI cable, wait for the operating system to jiggle around the drivers (less than one minute), open windows camera (if it's a laptop or you have a web cam, use the select source button to choose the USB adapter) and voilร the picture appears. If the source is dead you will get what looks like a test card screen with seven also coloured stripes. For Windows 11, guess what, plug it in, plug in the source HDMI cable, wait for the operating system to jiggle around drivers, open windows camera, select the USB adapter and voilร the picture appears. My use case for the product, I work in information technology and have a need to carry around a server with me for demonstration purposes. I also carry a laptop. Having this adapter and HDMI cable save me having to carry a screen if I have to do any local terminal-based interaction with my server. An excellent product for my use case.

Not recommended for games consoles
If youโre like me and bought this to use an iPad (that has USB-C input) as a monitor, then I would recommend avoiding this product. It was very simple to use, but the issue is that its max output is 1080p at 30hz. The resolution is fine on a smaller screen, but that 30hz is a killer - makes 60fps feel sluggish (Mario Kart, FIFA etc.) due to not being able to display at the correct (60hz) rate. Also induces a feeling of slight latency.

Some lag but works great with OBS and Nikon Z (including under Linux)
In short, I love this thing and leave it plugged into my computer, with or without a cam on the end. I use it, through OBS (under Linux no less), to record screencasts, with g00gle meet, even with the blasted zoom app. I set it for motion JPEG, 1920x1080 at 30fps for these things. My OBS setup would get confused about what is what when I played around with the 2 webcams etc But leaving this into the USB port all the time, and simply having the camera on or off works great--the OBS config is nice and stable, and when there's no camera signal the capture dongle shoots out the classic colour bars, as shown in second image. Trying to tweak contrast or brightness or anything like that in the OBS source interface is not a good idea--use your camera for that stuff and just feed in the signal you want: you have more control and it's better anyway. About the lag... All the USB capture cards I've used have some lag, that can be a pain to sync if you've got a distinct cam and mic. However, this capture card is on par or better in than the others I've used and I have found that the best solution is to hook up the mic to the big camera, and use the camera HDMI cable to bring in both image and sound. If your cam doesn't let you do that, you can still use OBS to add some delay to the audio and sync it manually, but I've found that tricky to get right, and that the lag isn't always exactly the same, so if you can feed sound from the cam, do that. So: I wish these things didn't have such lag (sometimes it feels like a good half second) but I think this is a USB thing more than a capture card thing, and this specific item is now my (almost daily) workhorse for getting audiovideo into my computron.

Not working on PS4
Doesn't work with PS4 And it's 30 fps ( was written on the article tho that's on me , but I don't understand why the 60fps is written in big )

I like it ^^
Amazing entry level capture card. I was able to do some streaming of my PS5 with this and im very happy. It supports both USB-A and USB-C ports so it should work amazingly on any computer.
