good idea
I bought the UpUGo Elastic Shoe Laces to try, and overall the idea is really good. They make shoes very easy to use since you don’t need to tie laces anymore. They are quite versatile and adjustable, which helps with getting a comfortable fit. I just wish there were more pairs included for the price, and the plastic parts could be better quality. Still, it’s a practical product that does its job well.

An easy way to convert your sneakers into slide-ons
I received this product well packaged and quickly after ordering. It contained 3 pairs (black, white and brown) of elastic shoelaces, adjustable spring to loosen/tighten, lace clip and a small screwdriver. The screwdriver is great for helping you to open the small clip that hold the ends of the laces. I suffer from severe back and hip pain, I needed to find another way to tie my shoes since I could no longer manipulate my body into certain positions. Once received, I quickly got to converting 3 pairs of my sneakers. Tried them on to gage how much slack I would need and where to cut the tips. For those who are stating that the laces do not work as advertised, I have a funny feeling that you didn't thread these properly. When threading the laces through the spring action round, you need to hold down the button on the top, then thread the laces through. Once you do this, the spring has something to grab ahold of to tighten/loosen the laces. Otherwise, if you just slide it through, without holding down the button, the round button will just slide up/down because it doesn't have anything there helping it to grab onto the laces. Once you have tried your shoes back on and find how much slack you need, you will need to cut the hard tips off of the laces. I couldn't close the final clip without doing so. I also followed other reviewers tip of using a lighter to seal the cut laces before closing the clip. You do need a good bit of strength to close the final clip. So, if you have weaker hands, you may want to make sure someone who has a bit more strength is around to close the final clip. Also, make sure that you've threaded the laces with the button facing up. I had accidentally done one facing down and hadn't realized until I had completed setting up the lace. This is where the small screwdriver comes in handy. I was able to quickly open the small clip, pull off the button, re-thread with the button facing up, reattached final clip and was ready to go. This is a great item for anyone or those, like myself, who are disabled or for small children who haven't yet learned how to tie their own shoe's. This item gives you the convenience of being able to just slide your foot into your favorite lace up shoes without the worry of how am I going to tie them. Plus, you'll never need to worry about your shoelaces coming untied and tripping. All in all I am very happy with these new laces. The price point was inexpensive for 3 pairs of lace. Plus, they come in a variety of colors that you can change your look anytime you wish. The laces feel quite sturdy for having elastic. They should last a good bit of time depending on how often you wear said shoes. I think the laces will outlast the shoe itself. I hope you find this product as easy to use as I did. And, that they're just as convenient for you.

Very Convenient, Strong Hold. Color and Elasticity Fade over Time
I've been using elastic laces like these for years. I've bought this brand and several of the others. This one stands out for color options like the gold pictured here. Several other brands only offer a few (usually very neon) colors. These laces are great for making any pair of shoes into a near-slip on shoe. For me anyway, I still need to hold the shoe to get it on. So not a true slip-on where you can just slide your foot right in. That said, these make it very easy to put on any shoe. The elastic gives enough that when putting it on that you don't have to untie or loosen them at all. Once on, they are snug and fit every time once you get the elastic where you want it. That adjustment is just a matter of pulling on the front loop with the button pushed. To install them, you just thread them through the lace holes as you would for any normal laces. Then slide on the clip that keeps the two ends together. Finally, you want to cut the excess that comes after that clip. Usually you want an inch or two so you can tuck that under the laces. Try to err on the side of it being too long, you can always cut it again. Because it is an elastic, I always feel like I am cutting two inches and then after the cut is made, there's just one there. At this point you add the clip that holds the ends together. Very simple. Takes just a couple minutes. Over time you'll probably tighten them a good bit and maybe even want to trim the excess again. You can open that clip usually with a screwdriver or anything with a small tip to use as a lever. Then cut the laces and reapply the clip. Very easy. Though I use these often and I'm generally very happy with them, they do lose a star for long-term quality. Like most plastic stuff from this low price range, this product isn't going to hold its color or shape forever. The photo I've attached shows the gold laces after about six months of nearly daily use with those shoes. You can see that the paint on the end clip has come off a bit, the color of the laces has faded (especially near the holes where they have rubbed against the shoes, and the laces are fraying a bit in places. Less visible in the photo is the fact that the elastic also fades over time. That is solved mostly by tightening a bit if they start to feel loose.

Great Fit, Comfort, and Convenience – A Simple Upgrade That Works!
I’m really pleased with these UpUGo Elastic No Tie Shoe Laces. They’ve made a noticeable difference in both convenience and comfort. Fit: The one-size-fits-all design worked perfectly for my shoes. They adjusted easily and gave a snug, secure fit without feeling too tight. Quality: The material feels durable and well-made. After regular use, they still hold their shape and elasticity without any signs of fraying. Adjustability: Super easy to customize. Once I set them to my preferred tightness, I haven’t had to mess with them again. Comfort: These laces made my shoes feel more comfortable overall—no pressure points like with traditional laces, and they flex naturally with movement. Number of Pairs: I appreciated getting multiple pairs in one pack. It’s great value and lets me use them on more than one pair of shoes. Stretchiness: The stretch is just right—not too loose, not too stiff. They provide enough give to slip shoes on and off easily while still staying secure during activity. Overall, a simple upgrade that makes a big difference. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free alternative to traditional laces.

They work really well. water resistant. Will require scissors on first application. Look cool.
These things are really easy to install and they look really cool. Some people say that not tying your shoes makes you a baby. Some people say that having no tie laces makes you a child. Well when I walk in to the bar in my red and white sneakers with a blue laces I don't feel like a child I feel like a FREAKING AMERICAN! Woo! You need to be careful when replacing the laces because if you want to reuse them you actually have to use a lighter and harden the tip because it requires cutting in order to size them to your shoes. But these are really really fun and if you have joint issues or you have tremors like I do they make it so that your shoes are tied but not too tight and they look really cool cuz you can color coordinate. They're also water resistant.

Not Easy!
These laces are very stylish and colorful, but they are not easy to apply to the shoes. One of the ends of the lace came off as I was tightening them after about a month.

Replaced permanent laces perfectly
Worked perfectly. My dog had chewed my shoestrings on a no tie/slip on pair of shoes that had permanent laces. I cut them out and perfect. Easy and better than other no tie laces I've had.

Switch to Elastic Shoelaces
The concept is great - replacing standard shoelaces for elastic ones. The process of installing them into shoes was trickier than expected. I had some trouble feeding the laces through the adjustment cinching mechanism. The lace ends wanted to skew inside and not come all the way through. Finally got past that hurdle. Then the clip end to secure the length of the laces after you trim to fit was tricky and hard on aging fingers. Once I got them installed, I am happy with the results. It makes getting in and out of a pair of walking shoes easier to manage. The stretching is just right.

A blessing! Makes life easier
I bought these for someone who can’t tie laces. Since they’ve got these on their trainers, they’ve not had to ask anyone for help with laces again, which gives them a great sense of independence and confidence I wish I knew about these years ago, they would have made life a lot easier for them
