No, there is no steel in the toes. The boots are a good compromise between light weight (no steel) and sturdiness. The only problem I am having is that the laces need to be broken in so that they can be tightened quickly. Otherwise very happy with the boots.

It’s not round like a ball the very top of the boot is narrow than the metatarsal section where the base of big toe would be across that area I found the boots to be heavier at toe area than the heels

I have read reviews that claim that the plastic eyelets fall out after a very short amount of time, has this problem been fixed?

I bought mine a few years ago and returned them . wore them around the house No problems for me but other people complain I have read

The “beak” if you mean “toe” is not iron. But is as strong as a steel toe.
