Architec Stretch Cooking Bands, Pack of 25, Assorted

One of the original silicone bands, they are still the best quality and best all-round size. You get what you pay for in silicone bands. These never rot, however often they are in the freezer, oven, however stretched they are over pasta and coffee packets, big opened cat kibble bags, rolls of paper etc. etc. I like to slip them in with wedding presents!

Recently purchased an Air Fryer oven that has spit roast facility so purchased these stretch bands to make it easier for me to support & truss a chicken or meat products on the spit roast bar. Yes they worked ok to attach the chicken but within 5 to 10 minutes of cooking 2 of the bands had broken off. I did not over tighten the bands either. These bands are sold as suitable for high heat cooking. So I am now back to using baking string. As someone with hands that have a bad tremor I was not impressed

Bought these to truss up a chicken for the rotisserie and they work brilliantly You can reuse them too, just washing in hot water.

Ok, so I only chose 1* so that you would actually read this review. On balance this is a great product which works within normal daily cooking temperatures. But....I've just used them to tie up a pork joint wrapped in fat for crackling. The joint is in the oven now, on 250C, and the two bands I used have snapped - presumably in the heat. (Whereas the strings the butcher used on the joint are still there). Codecil: a couple of days later it occurs to me that the bands I used were at, say, 95% of their stretch limit, but definitely not at their limit (after all I stretched them over/around the meat to get them into place). Summary: maybe the heat limit needs combining with a stretch coefficient?

These bands are great for all your trussing needs especially for poultry and game. They might be a little price but, they are heat resistant and can be washed and re-used. Expensive but worth it.

Pretty useful product but half of them snapped before even using them. Test them to prevent it pinging in your eye!

I used this product for holding meat, vegetables and fish together when baking in the oven.

Got 25 rubber bands per package. 5 different colors, 5 pieces per color. The rubber bands have a distinct stretch limit at about 5 times their original size. Avoid stretching too much when tightening food and exposing to high heat. The increased surface area and thinness of the rubber bands will chase them to snap. Tie several together for bigger food portions. Overall, good for other applications, not only food. I don't think these expire and deteriorate over time.

Cependant très étonnée d’avoir dû régler des frais de douane assez conséquents pour un petit achat (9 €) ce qui augmente le prix d’article d.une manière non négligeable surtout qu’ils ne sont pas indiqués lors de la commande A revoir votre politique en matière de prix annoncé

Very versatile Rubber Bands

Einfach nur klasse diese Kochbänder z.B. für Roulladen. Besser als mit Spieße oder kleine Holzstäbchen sowie Garn. Ich kann die Kochbänder sehr empfehlen.
