Replacement for broken dial indicator

The original dial indicator in my set stopped working and this is an ideti al replacement. First one lasted 40+ years so I am hoping this one is just as good.

The best back plunge you can buy. Bought to replace an older one. They are great for low travel applications.

Expensive but reliable until damaged.

The gold standard of dial indicators but I've seen a ton of these get damaged beyond use or repeatability in the field (power generation). Probably the most fragile Starrett offering. Treat it carefully.
