Helping my 12 year boxer
My 12 year old boxer dog has kidney disease, I started her on this recently, along with other supplements, including the welactin omega3s and Purina probiotic that were recommended by her vet. She has been on the KD prescription diet for a long time. But now she she seems to have more energy and has less urinary accidents and vomiting incidents. I have been adding a couple spoonfuls of canned pumpkin and have been mixing her supplements in with the pumpkin. And she eats it up, no problem. I was reading canned pumpkin is good for dogs with kidney disease, so far everything seems to be helping. I haven't had a lab test but she looks better and seems to have more energy. So far I am happy with it.

Cheaper than prescription
Worked for my dog who had kidney issues. It appeared to decrease his pain as he used this alone without other medication. Much more affordable than the vet price.

Nutramax Lab. NARAQUIN
This is a quality supplement that is helping our senior cat. It came packaged nicely, sealed and there plenty of time to use before expiration. It's less expensive than what you would pay at the veterinarian.

Great supplement to help get phosphorous levels down
Great phosphate binder for kidney disease. My cat’s phosphorous levels were rising with his CKD (Middle column in his lab work). He was already on a kidney diet since Jan, so we needed to add in a phosphate binder. Luckily, we found Naraquin! Easy to open capsule - I split it between the morning and evening meals. It did alter the taste of his food so I had to mix it in really well with his wet food and add in either gravy pet topper or fortiflora to cover the taste. But the proof is in the numbers - his phosphorous levels are back to normal and one of his kidney values even improved a little bit!

Great phosphate binder for my kidney-diseased cat
This phosphate binder was great for my kidney-diseased cat. I don't feed my cat a prescription diet, as I don't believe cats should be on low protein diet, until stage 4 (my cat is between stage 2 and 3), as cats are still carnivores, and the prescription food is low and poor quality protein. I try and get my cat to eat as much wet, canned food as possible, with extra water added, but it does have 0.68% dry-matter phosphorous, which is relatively low. After a few months, he didnt want to eat the food anymore - I was worried his kidneys had gotten worse. After I added this phosphate binder, he started eating 2x as much, so back to his normal quantity and gained weight. I started out slow in adding this to the food, as cats can be sensitive to changes to their routine. Now, I give half of the powder in each capsule for every 2.75 ounces of wet food. This phosphate binder does contain fish, so if your cat doesn't like fish, you might not be able to add much (my hairdressers cat is like this), but luckily, my cat does like fish. 😉

Help our kitteh-man
This gave us almost a extra year with our beloved Oliver he was 17 years old at the time of his passing.. he had stopped eating and was drinking constantly.. turned out his kidneys were failing we added this to his food and with in a week he started eating again and not drinking as much .. we are thankful to the vet for recommending this because if we hadn't used it our Olliefurr (Oliver) kitteh man would have passed much much sooner .

Cat won’t touch it.
Recommended by my vet for stage 2 CKD. none of my 8 cats will touch it. The cat that needs it sniffs and walks away no matter how I try to disguise it. It has such a strong odor that it’s impossible to disguise it in any food sample or treat. It does not mix it all with water so forget about squirting it down your cats’s throat.
