Works with all my Canon lenses. Love it!
I tried this with several lenses, including the 8-15 fisheye, 75-200, Nifty 50, pancake and more. It worked with them all. There's a couple of things to keep in mind though. The lenses will often be constantly focusing - most older lenses for DSLR's are not made for that and you can wear out the motors faster. I have a few lenses that are 15 years old and were not designed for video. Focusing can be an issue - for example, in the fisheye, focus was fine 12-15mm. But once it was anywhere in the 8-13mm range there were problems because the camera was trying to focus on the black "dead area." Changing focus modes can fix this. Touch focus, manual focus, focus zones, etc.The mount on the bottom of the adapter is removable. Because the adapter is wide at the end, there's not much room between the adapter and grip - just enough, but I find my knuckles hitting the adapter frequently. But that's not the adapter's fault. For this price I can use my Canon lenses on my Sony ZV-E1? And all the electronic functions work?!? No brainer. Get it.

Works as expected with all my Canon and 3rd party EF lens
11/18/2024 update: continue to try it with my old Canon lenses on my Sony A7C. I've observed the following issue. The adapter works okay with small lenses but not able to focus correctly with large lens such as lenses with 77mm filter thread size and 82mm filter thread size especially when the lens hood is on. I think it might have something to do with the AF assist light being blocked by the lens barrel and/or lens hood. In my specific case, Canon 24-105mm F4 L lens (77mm filter size) can't focus correctly. Sigma 50-500mm lens (82mm) can't focus at all. My main goal is to use the Canon 24-105mm F4 as my walking lens. Since it is not working, I will return it.----------- original review -----------This Sony E-mount to Canon EF mount lens adapter works as expected with all my Canon and 3rd party lenses. However, I feel uncomfortable for using it on some of my expensive lens like 70-200mm f2.8 L lens. The reason is that this adapter causes heavy noise on the EF lens while focusing. The noise is much heavier than the lens on a Canon camera. What I don’t know is if the noise is due to the adapter or the protocol compatibility between E-mount and EF-mount. Although is working functionally, the user experience is not good due to the noise from the lens. Also, I’m not sure if the noise might lead to damages to the lens. For now, I will not use it with my Canon L lens.

It works!
Feels solid, a precise fit to both the camera and my lenses. No problems with autofocus. I love being able to use my Canon lenses on my new (to me) Sony A7RIV.

Do not buy
I originally really liked this product. I was very excited for it to come in, having always used Canon products before and now switching to Sony. I was looking forward to being able to use my EF 75-300mm lens with my sony body.About a month after using it, it began creating a major shadow on my images on the left side. This was a huge issue as customers have paid for my images. Not to mention my Sony battery would last me usually 1-2 days of continuous shooting with a Tamron e-mount lens, but with this adapter, my batter wouldn't last longer than 2 hours. Im very disappointed, especially knowing I can't return the item for a refund. I understand it's a lower budget adapter, and I was buying it as a short term bridge between being able to buy a proper lens for the sony, but I still expected it to do it's job, which is definitely did not do. Do not recommend.

Sony A7R3 w/ Canon 50/1.2
This adapter works so well using a Sony A7R3 with a Canon 50/1.2. Eye focus works most of the time and face detection works 100% of the time. It’s not super fast as a native lens, so as long as your subject stays still, photos will come out sharp. Price is well worth the ability to expand your lens library.

Great Budget Option
This adapter is as good as you can ask for the $.So far it works on both my canon lenses. Autofocus performance is acceptable but i wasn't expecting to have OEM level performance. Aperture control works.Image stabilization seems to work just as good.It does what i need it to!

Drains battery on A7SII
On my A7SII (latest firmware, camera in airplane mode), leaving this adapter attached overnight results in about a 60% battery drain. This doesn't happen with any stock Sony lenses, so something in the adapter itself is resulting in a very inconvenient power draw.I don't think it's fair to rate this based on the autofocus, which admittedly isn't great, but combined with the power issues I wish I had just put the money towards a compatible lens instead.
