Beautiful face – Curvy Barbiewith dark hair and a polka dot dress
I have purchased a few of the new body style Barbies that Mattel has started bringing out in 2016. While I am enjoying posing them now, I want to have a small store of them ready for when my grand daughter is ready to play Barbie with me. I'm happy that her Barbie collection will sport petite, tall, regular and curvy Barbies which will be more like the people she knows that just the traditional Barbie. Curvy Barbie has a larger body than the other Barbies. She is the same height as Standard Barbie but is proportioned well for her size and shape. Her arms are a little thicker, her thighs a little more so. Her hips and body are larger in scale, too. Her feet, calves, ankles are too. Her hands are about the same size as regular Barbie. Her feet are the newer style flat foot which makes it a little more difficult to find shoes to fit her. She has hip length hair that is two tones of deep brown. Her hair is in a simple comb back style with a left side part. Her hair is soft and even a little flyaway with no stiffening product in it. She has ivory skin (fair with a touch of yellow), brown eyes, and neutral mauve lips with no nail polish. She has very natural style make-up and has a deep brown eyebrow with painted on lashes. Both of her arms are fairly straight with her palms pointing inward. Her fingers are mostly separated except the middle and ring finger of each hand are fused. Her legs do not bent except at the hips and they seem to be hollow rather than the solid vinyl of older dolls. Barbie is wearing a stretchy fabric dress which closes at the back with hook and loop. The bodice of the dress is royal blue and has a boat neckline with cap sleeves. The skirt portion of the dress is black with pink, royal blue, yellow and orange polka dots. The scale of the dots is okay but a little on the big side to give the outfit a retro mod vibe. The dress is form fitting and looks great on this Curvy girl. She has a pink plastic necklace and white plastic tennis shoes. There are now versions of the new body style Barbies that have additional outfits but I am hoping that Mattel will come out with outfits separately that are geared specifically for the new body types. I've bought the Look outfit sets and have found that pieces fit various body styles versus being specifically made for one single style.

Some Stuff About Vin (Vinessa)
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This doll should be a made to move doll, but this doll is pretty, I named her Vinessa goes by Vin too. I like the dress, Nice doll!

Great gift
My granddaughters enjoyed their Christmas presents, and this was one of them now I can’t keep them out of my head, trying to do my hair, but it was worth the money.

He’s cuter in person and he’s what I call a little Ken meaning he’s shorter and thinner.
I bought this doll because I wanted to add to our already diverse and inclusive friends center. He looks like he could be mixed race like my kids. I also liked that he has his hair colored a “girl” color. If his hair were brown he would look like my son hahahaha. He is slightly shorter than a typical Ken and just a bit taller than Skipper (both pictured here with this Ken) I like the fact he’s got a different head mold than our other male dolls, I also like that he has dyed hair and it’s not a “boy” color. Admittedly I do miss when the dolls had bendable knees! I wish Mattel would joint all the dolls knees so they could properly sit down. Like our other straight legged dolls he sort of just falls off of our doll chairs. My kids get irked when they try to sit our dolls down and they just fall off their chairs. Other than that this doll is a nice doll.

A pretty barbie with a cute orange dress but made cheaply.
Well, first of all I should say with all the problems with slow mail these days I have to say she showed up fairly quickly. The shipping box came in perfect condition with no damage although she doesn't come in a box so it would be pretty hard to destroy her packaging. She comes in a pink plastic pouch that zips closed. My daughter uses it to keep some of her barbie clothes and accessories in. I prefer this packaging to the boxes for this reason. It would be easy for kids to keep each doll and its accessories together if they were all made this way. The doll itself is a pretty barbie (imo) with a cute dress. Her hair seems slightly softer than some of the other barbies my daughter has and shiny too. It looks like she's hardly wearing any make-up at all except for some light lip color and I think the natural look makes her even prettier. It shows little girls you don't need a ton of make up to be beautiful. My one complaint is that you can tell she's obviously made very cheaply. She doesn't bend at the knee and has that stiff, smooth, cheap plastic feeling to her body. I don't want to say you get what you pay for but for $10 you can't expect her to spin and light up too. I'd buy this barbie again and it would make an okay, inexpensive gift for a little girl. The packaging makes it slightly more giftable (imo).

Gorgeous Barbie!
This is such a gorgeous, original doll! She's my new favorite. Her outfit is cute and she has lovely tan skin which complements her pink highlights! I highly recommend:-)
