Great router
Had it for 7 months now. The set up was easy, and the router has a so many of feautures - especially for Vpn intgration. Everything can be set from the app and it is so easy. Signal is good, I use 5g sim card (you need to check the 5g signal in your area). I used for work and watching movies and it is generally ok - but of course depends also on the internet provider. So far it got stuck only once (needed a manual reboot)

Excellent 5G router
I bought this to replace an aging ZTE MC801A that I'd been using as a 5G router for the past few years. Having fairly recently bought a different TP-Link WiFi router that completely resolved the previous WiFi issues we'd been having, I had high hopes for this with it being another of TP-Link's brands. The setup was incredibly easy, insert the SIM card, plug it in and download the Deco app. From there, the app guides you through and it was up and running within a couple of minutes. I've used this with both a Vodafone and Three SIM and both times it automatically picked up the APN settings and connected quickly. This has been flawless so far, providing fast speeds and good coverage. It's definitely a step up from the ZTE which was needing a restart fairly regularly to reconnect to 5G. My only complaint is that Amazon dropped the price significantly within a couple of weeks of me buying this for the Spring Sale! It's not cheap but it's a very capable bit of kit.

Extremely impressed - a viable alternative to a wired internet connection.
I moved into a new house and needed an internet connection quickly, so bought this hoping it would be good enough until I got a 'proper' connection sorted out. I signed up to a monthly contract giving unlimited data on a 5G SIM from Lebara and had everything up and running in minutes (and I'm no tech expert!) Much to my surprise it's working so well that I don't feel the need to do anything to improve my internet. I'm consistently getting download speeds of 150+Mbps and upload speeds of 40+Mbps. Various TV's, computers, a printer and a doorbell are all connected and after 3 weeks it's proving to be 100% reliable. Obviously it needs a decent 5g signal, which I have, in the suburbs of Nottingham.

Generally good but does like to disconnect now and then
We can't get fibre where we live and broadband through traditional phone cabling isn't an option with todays demand on speeds. I have 4G/5G broadband and wanted a router that I knew the brand was great, I have a Deco mesh system around the house so thought this would compliment the set up. The coverage I get with 3 is great so I know I should be getting a constant uninterrupted connection, however, the router looses connection at least twice a day and reboots. I have tried many different locations around the house and it's in the best spot, upstairs near a window with no obstructions. I don't have a problem with this as it's quick to come back online but some of the deco's in my mesh system don't reconnect for some reason and it's becoming a chore having to manually reboot them. This only started recently so I don't know if it's a software issue that an upgrade can fix but I have noticed the CPU generally runs at 100% most of the time. Given all the above, when it's working it great, just fix the issue TPLink

Poor Performance - Struggled to handle a houseful of devices
I bought this to replace a failing 5G Hub from Three, out of contract. While it was easy enough to set up, and has lots of features, it proved over time to be nothing but trouble. It has splendid logging levels and inspecting the Debug log it soon became clear that it could not handle the load being placed upon it, circa 35 devices (a mix of tech, including a number of IoT devices. A firmware update to the latest available made no difference. Data drop-outs, stalls, latencies were horrible. Looking at Debug, and running AI analysis on the log it was very apparent that the X50-5G was inadquate for the task. Maybe it would be okay with significantly fewer devices. I kept it far too long, debugging and assessing, to be able to send it back for refund.

Game Changer!
This router is a game-changer! With its plug-and-play setup, this router is extremely user-friendly. No lengthy setups, complex configurations and wrestling with cables, just plug it in, insert the sim, place it near a window and you're good to go. The companion app takes the experience to a whole new level. It facilitates seamless configuration and management of the router from your smartphone, and invaluable assistance in optimising the router's placement for optimal signal strength. The app's interface, again, is very user-friendly; clean and easy to navigate, making it a breeze to monitor and adjust the settings on the go. In terms of performance, this router shines. Despite residing in an area without fibre optic connectivity, and slow speeds, I have been blown away by the consistent 5G speed it delivers. With average download speeds nearing 200mbps, the improvement over my previous 4G router is remarkable. Streaming 4k content, online gaming, and simultaneous device usage are now seamless experiences. Now... my only negative is the design. While the sleek white design adds a modern touch to any space, I wish there were more colour options. My setup consists of darker furniture and electronic devices, so it stands out like a saw thumb. Besides that, I have had this just shy of a month and the router has exceeded my expectations on every front. Its user-friendly setup, companion app functionality, and unparalleled performance make it a standout choice for me in the world of home networking. While minor improvements in colour options would be appreciated, they pale in comparison to the overall excellence of this product. If you're in the market for a reliable router that delivers on its promises, look no further than this one!

Seamless Wi-Fi Throughout My Home
This Deco X50-5G single unit has been a game-changer for my home Wi-Fi. I was experiencing frustrating dead zones and slow speeds, especially on the second floor. After adding this unit to my existing Deco mesh system, the difference is night and day. The design is very sleek, but very strong material quality. * Strong Signal: Coverage is now incredibly consistent throughout my entire house, even in the furthest corners. * Fast Speeds: I'm consistently getting the speeds I pay for, even on devices further away from the main router. * Easy Setup: Setting up this unit was a breeze. The Deco app guided me through the process step-by-step, and it only took a few minutes. * Reliable Connection: I haven't experienced any drops or disconnections since installing this unit. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to improve their home Wi-Fi coverage and speed.

Instant fast broadband plug and play
This router is absolutely top of its class. Living rurally these days means sacrificing good internet speeds but not any more. Plugged this thing in with an EE data only sim and within 3 minutes it was up and running, I have went from a landline speed of 600kbps to now a whopping 60+ mbps. I only get 2 bars of 4G signal at my home so thought I might need an external antenna but held off on purchasing one till I seen the router in action and glad I did as no antenna needed. This router is 5G ready for if my mast gets upgraded but for me I’m more than happy with the speeds I’m getting. Not much if any fluctuations in the speed but I suppose that’s the up side to rural living, no congestion for usage of the mast. Signal strength from router is excellent as I live in a 3 bed 2 story house and have the router sitting in the upstairs landing with full signal strength in every room. So far no dropout in signal but it’s only been on for a week so will monitor this and see. It looks aesthetically nice and Compact although some people might of liked it in black but white is perfect for me. If you are living in a substandard internet speed area and like me you are paying a fortune to BT for a diabolical service then this router is the one for you. BT now been completely binned and I have unlimited data at high speeds for half the price I was paying BT and that was on the cheapest package BT could offer me. I’m no tech whizz but as I said earlier, I had this router set up in 3 mins flat. Go on and do yourself a favour, it’s not the cheapest router out there but for how excellent it is, it is worth every penny and more. Would give this 10 stars if I could.

Great product and fantastic customer service.
I was sick of Virgin Media's high price and average service, so I swapped out for this (with Sky Mobile SIM), and I am delighted. It's simple to set up, just as good as broadband for gaming, streaming (heavy use). So I've gone from €70/ month to €15/ month for the same service. And the minor setup query I had (ioT) was answered quickly and efficiently by TP-Link customer service. Highly recommended.

Don't buy!
Don't buy! Avoid at all cost! The device is unstable, crashing under load, blocking access to certains websites. I'm advanced user of IT equipment and there is no fix
