OK, I need to start by saying I've been in the fitness industry for 12 years. In that time period, I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements, mainly due to brilliant marketing like "5lbs of muscle in 6 weeks!". What led me to this product is the ingredients. If you are into fitness, but you aren't proactively considering what you're putting into your body, then you need to re-evaluate what you're doing. With that being said, I anticipated an artificial, super "sucralose-y" taste if you will - like the flavor of some candy you'd find at The Dollar Store. But no, this taste like frozen blueberries and graham crackers. I mean, exactly like it. Not overly sweet, and not bitter. Perfect if you ask me. For taste & flavor it's certainly unmatched in the industry. The quality of the ingredients and the transparency on the label is another MUST have, and another reason why I bought this. While whey is such an easy source of protein, it's also cheap and I believe quality control isn't the best. For this mix, the REAL FOOD, and I put emphasis on that as somebody not trying to load my body with junk, the protein blend of chicken, beef, fish, eggs, and peas works so well. There is no fish taste, no angus NY strip taste, etc. It just doesn't have that protein taste. You're probably wondering about mixability - and you've probably read reviews on both sides. Here is the truth, yes, the protein powder mixes, however, the carbohydrate blend doesn't. BUT this "grit" from the carb blend adds so much character and "oomph" to the taste that I wouldn't actually drink this without the "grit" - and it's not bad, trust me. You don't have to find yourself chewing on oats every time you sip as they are so finely blended, they ALMOST dissolve. 10/10 will buy again - wish they'd add the Strawberry Shortcake flavor. Other than that, I highly recommend this product and it's absolutely worth the money.

Traditionally used ON Nutrition or Six Star. This powder is perfect for helping you hit your protein goals. A lot of powders left me feeling bloated, nauseous and other gastrointestinal issues. This powder hits my stomach and gone in less than 20 mins for me. Perfect for breakfast on the go or getting an extra meal in. Taste is great with just water. Says 25 servings but I get usually more out of it. I personally like to get a meal in 30-60 mins before gym and this is perfect for me not to get an upset stomach. You won’t go wrong buying this…

Good taste. Mixes pretty well. It can have a bit of a gritty texture to it but its not that bad. I only use 2 scoops instead of 4 to fit into my Shaker cup and its done good for me so far.

I bought the blueberry cobbler flavor as a higher protein/higher calorie alternative to Huel. Each serving of MRE contains 530 calories and 47 grams of protein, compared to Huel's 400 calories/30 grams (vegan) protein per serving. The shake mixes easily and goes down smooth, with a consistency that's thinner than Huel. The taste is quite sweet, and the cinnamon is very prominent. My stomach can be picky about what it likes, but I've had no problems with MRE. Using the included scoop, I've found the 4 scoop serving size comes out a little lighter (as measured on a kitchen scale) than the listed 130 grams, depending how well you pack the powder and round off the scoop. There is very little fat content in the product, so I've been adding a tablespoon of olive oil to each shake to balance out the macros and increase the calorie count. I bought on sale at $50 for the tub, which is a pretty good value for 25 servings of a high-protein meal replacement shake. At full retail price the value proposition is similar to Huel's higher-protein Black edition.

Great meal replacement option while hitting your protein macro for the day. I love that it is a thicker consistency providing a more fulfilling feeling.

Redcon recently changed their formula, but their advertising is not reflecting the new (and worse) macronutrient profile. Previously MREs all had around 4g of fat per serving and 75g of carbs. The advertising on this page still shows those numbers. The new formulation has 6g of fat and 60 carbs. This lowers the carbs per gram of fat from 18.75 to 10, a 46% decrease. Due to the worse formulation and the deceptive advertising on this page I am forced to give what was once my favorite protein shake a one star rating. I am unlikely to continue purchasing this product.
