Solid choice
Easy to deploy. Easy fiber uplink. Reliable. So far so good.

Solid Performance, Just Mind the Fan Noise
Works exactly as advertised. I used it to power several Ubiquiti cameras and Wi-Fi devices as part of my home network setup, and it handled everything without issue. Setup was truly plug-and-play, and the build feels sturdy enough for long-term use. One thing to note: the internal fan does kick in and can be noticeably loud, especially in quiet environments. If you're planning to use this in a home setting, make sure to install it somewhere the noise won’t be a distraction—like a garage, utility closet, or network cabinet. Overall, great value for the functionality. Just plan your placement accordingly.

great option for (at least) basic needs
I'm not a tech guy, so I can't really talk to the features and metrics, but if you need a basic, good switch, then this more than does the job

Very good POE switch
I acquired this for my home to replace a Netgear PoE switch that died and stopped delivering power. One of the things I particularly liked was the separate uplink (non-PoE) ports, which left a full 16 ports available for downlink connections. I hooked everything up, turned it on, and everything began working, including some ethernet ports that had previously not been getting power. (The specs say it supports 802.3af/at, make sure your devices are compatible.) The fan in the device makes a little bit of noise, so this is ideally placed in your basement or equipment closet, not your office. It's also quite big, so make sure you have enough room for it (or rack-mount it). No problems observed in the first few days of operation, so I'm a happy customer for now. And as long as it works without trouble at least 3 years, I'll remain a happy customer. Note that there are some operational changes you can make with dip-switches: I left them all off, but advanced users may want to look at a manual before buying, to make sure the options meet the needs.

Wonderful upgrade to what I had
I bought this to replace an older Juniper switch I was using to power my network. The Juniper had 24 ports but I wasn’t using 10 of them so I figured I could bump it down to 18 to save some money. This switch is about a third of the size of my old switch and vastly quieter. The boot up time is MUCH faster as well, which was a huge disappointment with my last switch because if the power would go out for even a second, it would be almost 10 minutes before my access points came back online. The one thing I haven’t been able to get to is the GUI because I haven’t figured out the IP that my router assigned to it, but even without getting into it, I can see it’s smart enough to know which ports to send POE on and which don’t. Very satisfied with this switch and highly recommend if you need POE in a compact design.

BUYER BEWARE - 50% FAILURE RATE
Bought (4) of these. Within two weeks, (2) of the units died completely. No power at all. Waiting to hear back from TP-Link after registering the units and submitting a claim for replacement.

Quality Product. No issues
My no-name POE switch died after 2 years...So I spent a few more bucks for a name brand product with a better warranty too. Quality product and seems well made. One star off for having 2 tiny noisy fans.

Product is good if you want POE+. I have poe cameras using for frigate and works a treat. One star removed because the seller didn't clearly mention that this not an Omada product.
