VaVaSoo Electric Rocking Bassinet for Baby

Hands down the best purchase I made for baby number 4. The size (huge!) allows for at least 6 months of use, if not more for babies on the smaller side or less active babies. The snuggle me lounger fits inside perfectly, as seen in the video. Perfect for napping when the baby is smaller. I love that it has wheels that turn easily because we have some tight corners in the house with all the furniture and we like to move him around in the bassinet for many reasons. Very sturdy and well built! No cheap material at all, the mesh is perfect and the basket at the bottom isn’t half bad either. We usually keep the bassinet at the lowest level but the higher levels help when we have it in the kitchen for convenience or when I’m working at my desk. There are lots of sound options, I just wish I could pick one sound and let it play continuously instead of the loop it does with all the sounds. There’s a great range on the volume control. There’s 3 speed options for the rocker and it’s not super noisy which is a huge plus. My 4 month old has slept in it from week 1 and loves it, even sleeps through the night now. I use snuggle me covers to cover the mattress if you need an idea of the mattress size. Overall, very functional, portable in most spaces with wheels that lock in place if you need that option.

This was the most important item for me to buy for baby. I’ve researched hours on all the rocking bassinets because I had very specific wants. We know what works, this is our 4th baby. This was my top choice after being a loyal user of the rock n play for the first 3, but that’s baby contraband now and they only lasted 1.5 infancy's each so we had to move on. So far so good. As soon as it arrived I set it up to make sure it worked and it worked great. It’s sturdy and incredibly easy to assemble (no screw driver or tool necessary). It also packs away and unassembled perfectly, right back into the bag & box for storage which was great. My gripes with this is that the music turns on every time you power on! Why in the world would I want music to auto turn on with the rocking motion?! I’m going to just cut the wire to the sound box. I’m never going to use the music. This is a glaring design flaw to me. That and the auto off after 45 minutes of rocking (which now every single rocking baby item has) which is plain old irritating. How about let me decide when I want the rocking on and when I want it off. The mattress is incredibly thin so we will be using a different thicker “not recommended/ not safe” *eyeroll* instead. We haven’t begun using this yet will update if necessary on that front.

In the end it came down to customer service. I’d been reading the Snoo service was terrible, so I went with this bassinet based on reviews and the fact I could return it without paying crazy fees and dealing with a big hassle. I’m definitely NOT returning this. Love the adjustable height. I have it up to the max height for my husband and although the manual says not to, I have it clicked one setting lower on one side for my baby that has reflux. The rocking is gentle but effective. My 7 week old has been using this since 4 weeks and he sleeps almost 12 hours. I have to wake him up to eat and change diapers. He’s really comfortable. I put him in drowsy but not asleep and use the rocking function for about 5 minutes until he’s asleep and then turn it off. I ordered the vavasoo mattress cover and sheets. The cover isn’t necessary because the mattress is waterproof but it does add some comfort/padding and fits like a glove. The sheets are essential and fit perfectly. We swaddle him with a muslin blanket or Velcro swaddle inside and he seems to love that. I also like that you can have it as a standalone bassinet or strap it to the bed. The wheels make it easy to move room to room if needed. I spilled a little liquid vitamin on the side and it wiped up nicely considering how bad that stuff stains. Yes, the music sucks as other reviews state. We have our own sound machine anyway. The only button I push on the remote is rock and power to turn it off. This bassinet was a great, random find. I’m so glad I didn’t get a Snoo - this has every feature I wanted and more, looks great, is sturdy and I feel comfortable knowing if I have a problem I can contact the mfr or Amazon easily. Very happy.

UPDATE: had it for a few weeks now, and as much as we like the features of it, the base is completely tilted to the right and my baby is face first in the mesh multiple times a night because the angle of the bassinet base is completely off and slanted. this is really dangerous. awesome bassinet literally has been saving us helping our baby stay calm while his bottle is warming up at night. music options and white noise are great, the rocking options are perfect. my only issue with it is that the mattress is really thin and uncomfy.

I bought this product for my first baby last year and now my second baby is enjoying this great crib. I highly recommend it for the below reasons - 1. It also has wheels, making it easy to move around. This allows us to easily bring the child close to us during the day when we are working or cooking, aside from keeping the child peacefully asleep at night. 2. Cost-Effective: It provides great value for money, especially when compared to similar products in the market with high price even for renting. The price is moderate and acceptable, making it a cost-effective choice. 3. Outstanding Customer Service: I purchased this product a year ago for my 1st baby who really enjoyed it. This year my dog chewed through the power cord when I was about to use it for my 2nd baby. I contacted customer support team through Amazon, and then received a prompt, courteous, and professional response. They quickly shipped a replacement power cord to me free of charge. Even when I informed them that I hadn't received the package due to postal issues, they promptly apologized and sent another set of power cords. Now, my second baby can fully enjoy this product. It's why I'd love to write such a long review for this product and recommend it to new parents.

My baby loved this bassinet until he outgrew it. The rocking option would immediately put him back to sleep if he woke up in his sleep most nights. However, it is very very firm and I do feel like it contributed to my baby’s brachycephaly.

We really enjoy this bassinet. We have been using it for two weeks now and I have noticed a difference in terms of ease when it comes to bassinet transfers after late night feedings/diaper changes. it does have storage underneath so you can store extra diapers, bassinet, sheets, wipes, etc. it also comes with the remote, which is how I turn it on and it automatically goes to a rocking motion and lullabies/variations of white noise. I personally like to keep the rocking on the lowest setting so that when I transfer her to the bassinet after she falls asleep from a feeding, there’s not too much motion or stimulation to wake her abruptly. I also keep the volume on the lowest setting, but you can turn it up if you would like I just feel like my newborn does best when it’s on the lowest setting. It’s still a little pricey in my opinion; however, I believe it’s a better option than other products that can range anywhere from $500-$1000+.

I was looking for something a little bit cheaper than the Snoo or Cradlewise and stumbled along this crib. Our 6 week old was not fussy every time we put him into his transitional crib. We also have the Biliboo which didn't afford any of us the best of sleep. I'm talking about him crying for us every 20-40 minutes throughout the night. We ordered this Wednesday of last week and it arrived midday on Sunday. My partner immediately set it up and we gave it a go. In our minds, his sleeping couldn't possibly get worse than it was. We were pleasantly surprised at how well he took to it! He is now waking up every 2-3 hours which feels like a luxury at this point. I think it shuts off after 40-45 minutes- sometimes he wakes up when it shuts off, and other times, it doesn't. If we're awake, we'll just turn on the rocker again. Over the past two nights, he's been a lot easier to settle when he wakes up. Instead of being awake for 2+ hours, he goes back to sleep in 30 minutes. I usually will hold him until the 45 minute to an hour mark. The speaker is not the best. I didn't purchase it for that feature and I do not utilize it. We've been keeping the TV on for background noise and he's been sleeping though the Olympics with all of the cheering on of the crowds. One of our cats is currently in the hall meowing loudly and our son is still asleep. This item is returnable so you have plenty of nights to try it out. I hope my review will at least help one baby get better sleep.
