Needed if lifters are tight
Works great. Still a huge pain with motor in the truck, but literally impossible to remove these lifter in my 350 sbc without the tool!

Good value
Works as intended, must have for DIY'er tool box.

Should work for some
Its well made and simple but really didn't work for my purposes. I didn't need it to access my lifters since I could pluck them out of their bores with a magnet. It works well for standard lifters but is useless for AFM spring lifters.

The tool tends to fall off the valve but it works.
Suction paper could be better but it would be hard to design something that would be better. The issue is that as you move the tool the suction, since is not 100% perfectly balanced it tends to move and also since you are using your hands to move the tool as the user sometimes you might grab it differently and make the tool slip off the valves but overall a good value and it works.

Potential Bad times.
Look this thing can do what it says it does... but there's a little ball bearing inside that the shaft presses against. this ball can fall out especially if you have to take the end off to access lifter galley... if you are considering this tool... I know you don't want to hear this... but it might be better to remove the camshaft and drop the lifters down into the oil pan an retrieve that way. I was using this on an 80's GM i6 and it did function for a few lifters... but with the ball bearing that can find its way into your motor and the fact that the aluminum body shredded as I attempted to use it led me to dropping my lifters down into the pan to protect the lifter bores and my sanity, even though that oil pan gasket is a bear when you're on the ground.

Good product.
Worked well. I used it on a recent head kit replacement on a Kohler CH18.

Good tool
Work as made to, does good finish work. I ended up using a variable speed 3/8 drill hooked to the valve stem on low to speed up the process with the heads solid on the work bench. Valve in place, drill chucked firm but not tight to valve stem tip, light pressure, no problems. Don't want to chuck it too tight, might mar the stem tip, not too much pull pressure and it did not slip ever for me. No marks on any of the valve stem tips. Ran it low, and kept eye on valve stem & head alignment. If your careful and gentile you can feel the valve head is grinding on seat correctly. Checked fit using the felt ink pen on valve and seat, used this tool to turn the valve for this step. Both valve seat and the valve head had the desired smooth shiny and correct bevel placement. This tool will do it all, but you will feel like a cave man starting a fire, and it takes time, lots of it for automobile valve work. Wouldn't be a problem for say a lawn mower, chain saw, or small engine. Worked for me

Going to give it 5 stars, but, I did have trouble. seems well built. I had trouble keeping the suction cup stuck to the valve. tried cleaning cup and valve many times, used water and spit to try to improve suction cup stick. I cleaned the valve and could never get more that 2 or 3 series of turns before it popped off. Could be operator inexperience (me). I've read that many people have difficulty with these types of lappers. in the end, it did the job, but cause a few cursing streaks.requires patience.

De las 4 gomas, solo una está suave las otras 3 estás muy duras y creo que no va a funcionar bien para mantener la válvula pegada a la ventosa.
